I see zero reason why someone would order from SS when there are sellers like BBTS (no NRD, super saver shipping which is 6 bucks with tracking) and AE (AE's prices are always discounted and has points similar to SS). They both double box without ludicrous $10 extra fees.

Customer service is essentially the same. They get their replacements from sideshow.

And their shipping prices are fair. Not $17 for a thin, non double boxed, package sent within their own state.

SS is cheaper with better shipping to Australia then BBTS.

AE doesn't double box anymore. Found that out with Black Widow and Winter soldier. They don't have option either. I'm reluctant to buy from them now.

I just ordered her from Sideshow, but mainly because I now have a decent pile of reward points. I plan on doing the same with Quicksilver. Granted, it's annoying to waste 200 points on the pack out charge, but it would be worse to abandon the reward points entirely. I have been using AE as my other principle supplier, plus I'm giving Pop Culture Zone a try for one figure. They require 20% down+shipping up front, but their prices are quite good and they also double box. If they turn out to be reliable, that's one more option for spreading out the cost of these figures. Given how many of these are due around the same time holiday bills will be arriving, that's a consideration for me.

BTW, when did you receive BW and WS from Alter Ego? They double boxed mine, but that was back in October/November. I'm getting the Groot/Rocket combo and AoU Cap from them. I'll be PO'd if they're not double boxed.

I don't really see the big deal with packouts to be honest. It'd be nice if they did it but of all the figures I have I've yet to have an issue with the actual box art and most of the time the shipper is fine too. I could really care less about the shipper. I guess I could maybe see more if I were an international buyer just because it may have a rougher ride reaching wherever it's going. The main thing that's starting to irritate me with Sideshow is the NRD being added to most new figures. I stay with them mostly for rewards points and exclusives. Plus on the rare occasion I've needed assistance their customer service is decent.

It would be quite special if all along HT planed Ultimate Die-Cast ultron to have a removable heart (SW accessory not withstanding) that owners of both SW and UU can utilise to re-create that scene.

Nah, the art of filmmaking told me that. You know, the whole "film is a Director's medium" bit.

Being a filmmaker myself probably has something to do with my believing that when I write something, when its my vision, I should be allowed complete control over it.
