You can't make a fair comparison between a $250 figure and a $2k statue.

The Batman statue is excellent, but I actually prefer the sculpt on the HT Superman compared to the Prime 1 Superman sculpt.

Yeah...I'm really hoping they can improve the likeness a little more. Having just got into HT stuff I'd like to pick up this set with superman to be my first batman representation. If the sculpt ends up being lackluster I might have to pass, which I really don't want to.

Those edits make this look far better. I'm sure HT will get somewhere close to that by the time it's released.

HT's version is just like Batfleck haven't gone to gym for like a decade...
the man boobs are just killing the figure...and it doesn't even look like Batfleck at all!
The face sculpt, the body, the suit...

I actually don't really like the sculpt on P1 and I usually like their sculpts. It's got the realism but I feel like somethings missing. That's not to say HT doesn't have work to do but I dig their Headsculpt over the P1

If Hot Toys were to make a completely new custom body that has all of the padding and muscle tone built into it along with a fabric suit as good or better than the new Superman figure then it would be pretty close to the Prime1 version.

Compared $2000 statue to $220 figure seems unfair comparison . It's like compare HT to hasbro. But I agree that HT have works to do there, they already nailed Supes. They need fix a body , give pads to shoulder and abs will do

I think the Hot Toys cowl is more screen accurate than the Prime 1 but yeah, the body definitely needs work.

I also prefer the HT cowl, it looks great and is a good likeness of Affleck.
I do not think the Prime 1 body is more movie accurate than HT's, it looks better in a classical way but not more screen accurate.

Could someone please tell me why you guys like the HT cowl better?
I honestly dont get it.
I am getting the Hot Toys also...PO it as soon as I saw it was available.

But in all my years of collecting, Prime1's batman is as close to perfection as I have ever seen. Its on a whole another level.
Dont get me wrong...I LOVE the Hot Toys version. I absolutely cant wait and wish it would get an early release.
Cant wait to have it on my shelf. But still...its not even a fair comparison with Prime1.
The only comparison I see with Prime1 is Madam Tussaud's and Ben Affleck as Batman himself.

I mean...there's a lot of figures I see where people take pictures, and you can say...wow...it almost looks like the real deal. Emphasis on "Almost".
Prime1 doesnt look almost, it looks like the real thing.

So I really dont get it when people say Hot Toys looks better?

I didn't hate the last trailer as much as most people did, but it did wane my hopes a bit. The latest trailer makes this look promising again. All I need to see is a tweak to Bats and I'll probably be all in. HT has been really good about improving for the production product as of late, so I have faith. But it won't hurt for you guys on FB to post those PS manips and get in their ear!!!

His eyes are a bit weird and I think the body proportions are a big off-he's almost to svelte for batfleck-looks a bit stretched.
But absolutely no doubt a vast improvement over hot toys version.
Just not an extra zero on the cost improvement.
Like hot toys done with man of steel they'll do with this.
The Mos proto was Arnold's body-they rushed out just to show the costume.
This is too big a license for them not to perfect.
It's marvel, Star Wars & justice league.
Batman will have a completely new body and il bet he'll be completely revised by the time we see the next hot toys pre release photos
