The opening scene is horrible.
The slow-mo shot was cheesy.
It was straight up cringe for sure.

Haha I loved the slo mo shot. It was basically a splash page brought to life.
As an isolated .gif it may look ok, but as part of the scene it was completely forced.

1.
A very boring and pointless splash page at that.
Also, it doesn't work as part of the opening.

2.
It's a "Zack Snyder moment".
Worked only for 300.
Exactly, pointless is the word, and forced.

Besides, how do you even make slow mo not look cool? Well, Whedon knows how :lol

That AoU team slo mo show was the WORST superhero SHOT in ANY superhero movie. Period. Pure stipidity like alot of dumb things MCU films are doing lately to look "cool"

Ok the bad animated shadow in the one rooftop scene in '89 Batman might be the second most pathetic shot:lol

I just think that he really shouldn't have written the whole story by himself. The Avengers was great was because the movie was already written by Zak Penn while he overlooked it and made a few adustments to some parts of the dialogue and such. I think writing as well as directing something as big as an Avengers sequel was where he went wrong.

He was trying to do too much, and as a result nothing was done particularly well IMO. With apologies to Khev, Whedon is a talented guy, but this wasn't his finest moment.

But as JYE will tell you often, the X-Men films have less than great CG sometimes, but no one really cares because those movies are really good.

Is there any bad CGI in DOFP? I don't remember any. Quicksilver scene is pure genius and it looks amazing.

I do see some weird CGI in Apoc.
Ask JYE about it. I thought it was all fine, but was so drawn into the story that I didn't get sidetracked by those kinds of things. I think there was a lot of criticism about the future scenes with the Sentinels?

I think some are just being nitpicky.

Those the Ultron 'splash' scene looks silly. Especially Widow jumping from the vehicle and traveling 30 feet to take out an enemy.

DOFP had decent cgi, no worse or better than most.

On the weak end was Magneto inserting those rods in the Sentinels on the train and the highlight being the QS scene as mentioned by Gasp.

It's all I noticed because there was no action to keep me entertained, the cgi of Wolverine sleeping was amazing though. :lol

I would watch AOU again before I watched DOFP again.

Yeahhhhh, suck it X-Men fans. :lol

:lol Well what were you railing about recently? Maybe the trailer for Apocalypse?

If I was to make a complaint about the CG, it's that it was so overwhelming that it did become like a videogame at the end, when you have 5 million Ultrons flying around, and CG versions of all the heroes flying around, and they're flying up in the sky, and the CG SHIELD helicarrier appears with more CG characters, and CG energy blasts and bullets are flying all over the place, etc. Hard to get or stay emotionally connected to anything when it's just CG videogame action porn.

Joel Schumacher says thank you for letting him off the hook. And so does whoever directed Superman 4.

Yeah, it was the Apoc trailers, just too over processed.

Hopefully the movie will be more thrilling than DOFP, it certainly has the chance of being so.

Say what you want about AOU, at least its not boring.

Go ahead say more crap about AOU, khev's got AOU's back. :lol
