I would not mind a cat and mouse type scenario, where Vader is doing his thing and Obi is trying to stop him on the sly.....maybe just catching a glimpse of each other here and there.

Nothing in the OT negates this possibility.

I wonder what BIPOC will save or lecture incompetent straight white male Obi? Place your bets.

So the entire series is about Ben failing?

Then again, technically, the PT is about Obi-Wan's failures... and the OT kind of extends that by making it clear he isn't very good as a Jedi and subcontracts Yoda to take over.

The hell? Kenobi is a great Jedi. But his lost chance at love, combined with his love for Anakin and wanring Anakin to have happiness he never did, was his downfall. Just as Luke’s love for his friends was his downfall. You can’t blame Luke’s “failures” on Kenobi. I wouldn’t call it Kenobi’s failures, more so the failure of the strict teachings of the Jedi Order.

Obi-Wan was a better Jedi than most. Yoda, Mace and the other council members were the main problem. Stuck in their ways, refusing to change even when it could ensure a better outcome, they did nothing but treat Anakin like **** and were surprised when he turned on them.

They even knew that their clone army was commissioned by their enemy and thought “eh good enough for now, worry about it later”.

Obi-Wan was the only one that really treated Anakin with any respect and considered him a friend/brother.

The OT doesn't matter anymore, retcons happen all the time now. Disney wants the dollar today.

Yup. Which means the ST doesn’t matter and will be retconned shortly.

Episode 7 with Luke, Ahsoka, Grogu, Din, Ezra (?), Thrawn would make BILLIONS.

The PT jedi were basically unwittingly apostate. Quigon was probably one of the only “true” Jedi during that time.

I still don't understand "bringing balance to the Force" if your side has been dominant for thousands of years.

If you read the lore. Neither sith nor jedi are right or wrong. Thes sith just use anger and emotion for power and it goes against the jedi. Not all sith are evil bad guys like vader. They are some dark jedi who are evil. They just do things different.

The jedi don't agree with each other and it shows. Kinda like radical christains vs more lax christians.

Well Sith usually kill and want power. Also the corruption eats away at their spirit and flesh. Not sure what Sith are not bad guys.

Actually no, more like, Vader comes into the story , most likely near the finale. He is on a quest to kill a suspected Jedi, or find a holocron or something.....and at the same time , Obi is going for the same goal or just trying to prevent Vader from succeeding. These would be tales of smaller goals. Basically the would show Obi doing everything in his power to slow the ascent of the Empire, delaying whatever he could without compromising his main goal. The struggle would be him trying to stop the Emperors plans as much as possible while at the same time, keeping Luke and Leia safe.

Ah, so the whole series is like in ANH when Vader and Ben are both wondering around the hallways, stopping occasionally as they smell each other, then move on.

It's basically a Scooby Doo hallway scene where they keep entering and exiting different doors.

One thing Kenobi was good at was defensive/strategic fighting. Not quite as good as Floyd Mayweather, but probably second best.

Yup, but with a main story line about Obi rescuing some lizard boy or child force prodigy.....I think we will have to endure that
