Sorry to spam the boards, I've already posted this in the Bespin Luke Thread, but I am so mad right now!

Keep away from seller smail-shopping on eBay. He's based in Guangzhou, China and is a devious little man. Even though his feedback is private, you can still see that he has had 28 negatives in the past month.

This mongrel has rorted me out of $200.00 on an Exclusive 12" Bespin Luke Two-Pack.

Instead of receiving the Luke twin-pack, this cretin sent me a pair of men's socks in the mail - what a guy!

Since starting a claim with Paypal, the seller is now offering me a partial refund of $40.00 and is asking for his item to be returned.

He's offered no return address and oddly enough, the jiffy bag had no return address either.

I know I should have done my research on this seller, what a fool I've been.
I was just so amped about Luke, that all sense of logic went out the window.

hahaha that guys has major ***** for giving you a partial refund AND you to return your item when he has scammed you.

Oh yeah - he's a real piece of work.

This is what I get for trying to cut a few corners and save myself some hard earned cash.

Nah, the scarf is nasty :lol That is the real importance here after all :lol

He offered me a partial refund of $50 :lol

Paypal should have my back for my $292, I have since pre-ordered my DX12 from ModelZone.co.uk

And those socks are the same as the ones I got :lol Theyre getting stuck in my detolf as a personal joke

Re: Another (possible) ebay scam

I as an E-Bay Seller always include my business card (back of my business card as it has the stores logo on it ) so customers can see i definitly have the item/s in hand. I also have some easy peel stickers with my shops logo on that i will place on some items if possible. Any one can use another sellers pictures if they dont personalise them. Couple of recent examples

Was it intentional that your logo looks a lot like the C word in text speak? Lol

I don't understand why eBay still allows Private Feedback? Isn't the whole reason to use eBay is to build up your feedback as a seller so people feel confident to buy from you as a good seller through their feedback? If its Private, then how do you know if the seller is good or not? eBay just makes it too easy for people to scam. After all these years you think they would try and make their system more scam proof, yet it seems to get worse & worse.

idk, i buy from eBay less and less these days. Just not worth the hassle.

I feel that the private system is designed for people who make purchases of extremely high value, and don't want any information of their transaction leaked. That being said, I think they should set a minimum transaction limit for a private feedback to be used, not just ANY auction. So stupid...

I always assume the private ones are porno and dilduhs... Stuff of that nature.

I was aware of this C N T is Comics 'N' Toys you can see it clearly on the old logo.I went with this name to get a discription of what i sell in the shops name. It's great for free adverts like Yellow Pages ect and i can use the N as a lightning bolt in my logo. I do have a few comments but any thing that makes people notice and remember my shop always helps.

Dammit.
smail shopping is the seller I bought my Ironmonger from.
Have tracked package to the UK, waiting to see what colour scarf I get.
F#*€ing toe rag.
I've opened a claim with eBay - if the package is full of docks or nothing shows by the 7th I go the refund route.

Now I have to go find an Ironmonger for less than £300. Should have known it was too good to be true!

Looks like we have another dodgy seller

fashion_tk (103)

I'd be very wary of this seller as they have never sold any collectable items before just like smail_shopping and 8858roomof before him.

I'm new to the eBay world and threads like this giving heads up on what to look for are really helpful for newbies like myself. Sorry that other people have to go through the hassle of thieves ripping them off but they are good lessons for everyone to learn from.

I will stick with Loontentoys never had a problem with that guy his prices seem fair and he packs realy well.

Re: Another (possible) ebay scam

Ok I have opened two resolution cases in PayPal against 8858roomof and smailshopping.

No response from 8858roomof but smailshopping has been in touch since I opened the PayPal case telling me they are a legitimate seller and I will have my item before Christmas.

Both have issued me with tracking numbers for my items but I dont think they are legit.

According to PayPal protocol they have 10 days to get my item to me before the PayPal resoulution centre kicks in and I get my money back.

If either seller gets their items to me I'll be very happy as I just want my HT Lukes!!!!

Just a little update.

I got refunded my money from PayPal in regards the Smail_Shopping transaction but they are witholding funds for another few days on the 8858roomoof transaction as something with a tracking number arrived for me in the post office a few days ago but due to the Holidays it hasnt been delivered to me yet.

I told the PayPal guy that it was more than likely a scarf or a pair of socks but he told me I'd have to wait and see what the postman brings.

I wonder what coloured scarf did I get??? :dunno:dunno:dunno

Yep. Scammed.

Thanks smail_shopping, either the cheapest Ironmonger going..... or the most expensive pair of socks ever!
