Just got Kirk delivered. No surprises; he pretty much matches up with the photos we've already seen online. Doesn't look exactly like William Shatner, and the shirt is too yellow for my tastes. Also, there's no right hand that firmly grips the phaser rifle grip; as you can see in the photo...

The gloved hands both connect 1) to the forearms by ball and socket, and 2) to the spacesuit via tab and slot connection (The silver connection you see in the photos).

Yes, that's what those things at the top and side are for; I didn't take them out because I won't be using them. The long post on the side of the foam also includes the two straps as shown in the photo so you can wrap them around the space suit.
