I’ll probably take out the tunic wires like I did with my ANH version. Makes it drape so much better. Given that the cape isn’t wired for dynamic poses, there’s no reason to have wires in the tunic either

I actually meant the wiring for the LEDs, but those pesky tunic wires also cause problems.

Same here fellow NYer! It's always a bit of a wait with shipments from Sideshow. Initially said Monday but it now updated to Tuesday :gah:

For now, some photos by yu_nai_tou:

Looks really good in those photos! The “diaper” codpiece doesn’t look so bad with the figure has been properly futzed

Ahh gotcha. Hadn’t thought about that actually since I don’t have any hookups for that sort of thing anymore in the current display. But yea, trying to hide those in a decent way will be a challenge

This is random- but if youre a Sith Lord thats really concerned with protecting the family jewels from lightsaber slashes...surely, there are better options than a "cushy pillow" cod piece?

"Cushy Pillow"? You mean codprotectium? The strongest and most flexible material in the galaxy?

Same. Ive just been watching the videos and look at the amazing pics. While I dont have the BD version in hand, it doesn't look like a rehash of ESB. I had that one, and the BD version looks way better as far as proportion and tailoring.

Really wondering now why I ordered the deluxe version, as I'm never going to use the undamaged Vader parts or alternate base. I guess because the price just wasn't too crazy at $329? Or I got caught up too much in the hype and excitement?

Definitely a pretty nice pickup for an extra $30. Two helmets, two control panels, two really nice looking stands. Easy choice for me.
Exactly! Especially when you consider that the undamaged helmet alone will more than likely go for $50+ on the aftermarket, it just made sense to buy the deluxe. You could more than likely sell all those extra parts that you may not want and come out better than had you just bought the standard outright

I'm eager to have someone measure this Vader. He's looking really tall in Justin's review against all other Vaders. I know a lot of people like to fantasize that Vader is well over 7 feet tall but he's really supposed to be about 6'6''. Curious where this one's height lands him in reality.
