They'll fix it I know just because they need to compete with InArt in some way especially if they pull their own 89 Batman out next to their The Batman figure reveal. Imagine how funny it will be for preorders to go up fast if that happened. Not to mention InArt would probably do the suit the exact way it was in film with the rubber armor pieces on top of the rubber material under suit for better articulation.

Didn't someone say Mars were gonna do both Keaton suits? Maybe HT got wind of that and decided to reissue.

I very much doubt InArt will ever be able to secure the '89 license even if just for the Chinese market, and given the glacier-like pace they've been progressing with their Pattinson Batman figure (that they promised would be shown in full two months ago), I would not bet on that horse.

Glad to see a re issue of a figure that appears to have no significant improvements other than the base. Hot Toys is hot trash. When they bent the knew to Disney and Marvel they lost their luster.

Has it been confirmed to be a straight reissue? Or is it more of a DX19 scenario?

Nothing indicates that this is new so far. Looks like a straight reissue to me. They look to be using two of the original 2012 DX09 Batman figures for those displays . . . not a good sign for someone looking for improved figures.

The computer console, cathedral base, and obviously the 1/12 Batwing are brand new tools however.

Also, why have two Batman figures on display? Have Batman come with the Batcave diorama and have Joker with the Cathedral Gargoyle . . .

They most likely lost Nicholson's likeness. I remember Howard saying in those old interviews we used to get just how expensive it was to get his likeness back then.

I don't think we're ever seeing another Joker figure of him again from HT. MARS Toys is the best bet for that.

Not just Nicholson Joker, but Ledger Joker as well. I thought for sure they’d try and compete with Inart by having a “new” Ledger Joker at one of these shows, but nope, nothing.

Very odd having multiple generations of Batman and Catwoman yet not a single Joker in sight. They’re really slacking.

Even The Batman product feels lacking. Sure, they have him, the signal and the bike but we’re five months out and no Bruce Wayne, Catwoman, Penguin or Riddler? It just doesn’t feel like they’re trying at all.

Still can’t believe they haven’t done more 1/4 figures. Someone please tell me how a quarter scale Affleck or Keaton or Pattison wouldn’t be a show stealer? Instead they show a reissue of a decade old figure. Hot Toys is just crazy to me.

I believe Mars even had an early 3D WIP of Keaton Bats on their FB page shortly after releasing Joker but took it down rather quickly. Or I could just be remembering what I want to and not what actually happened :lol

Yup, these are straight-up 2012 production piece DX09 figures on display, identical in every way - including the mouth piece that sticks out past the mask just a hair too far on the right side of the face and the visible seam on top of the head from the hatch for PERS.

Possible of course that these are just stand-ins for an improved version still in the works, but for now it's just DX09.

It would be nice if that figure is just a stand in for a new and improved version, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up. The upcoming Begins Batman will be a good measuring stick for what goes down as far as improved product goes because right now, that figure is just the Toy Fairs MMS 155 figure with armory belt and DX12 boots.

Time will tell and Hot Toys has certainly had enough time.

Yeah I've been thinking that they lost Ledgers Joker likeness as well. They reissue Bales Batman as a figure in 1/6 format AND 1/4 but not a single Ledger Joker reissue/3.0 in sight? Not even to compete with INART? They most definitely lost the license for him. Ledger Joker has been a money machine for them and not reissuing or doing a single new version makes no sense.

I will say though that they seem to be an even more of a gamble than before in terms of what they decide to try with and don't. Peacemaker? Improved from all the complaining people did and now with "rolling eyes". The Batman figure, improved and now with "rolling eyes" on the Wayne sculpt. A lot of indication that they are "trying" more than before due to INART coming into the playing field. But then you have random lazy **** like that Batman Begins figure and some other questionable lazy choices for other figures.

I would be surprised but also not surprised if they do end up doing a more proper 2.0 of this figure by the time it's actually announced. Hot Toys seems to be on either side of the spectrum when it comes to trying. They're either super ******* lazy or they actually show that they're trying. Roll the dice on which side this one will end up on.

Is the Hot Toys Batcave computer diorama the same color as the movie?

The lighting in the movie screenshots makes everything black/dark.

Disappointed Hot Toys did not upgrade that trash bag cape - i own the original DX but might double-dip for the gargoyle base and the dirorama but will have to pick up another custom cape.

I honestly think they just grabbed a DX09 instead of making a new prototype. They did the same with the Knightmare Batman/Superman two pack. Didn't stop them improving the figure before release.

Same story with the DX19 and we've already seen improvements on Peacemaker and Battinson figures since pre-order.

I bet when this goes up for pre-order it specifies a taller body. No way they release it with that old cape either.

I agree. There’s no way we won’t see improvements with competition getting stiff for HotToys.
