Without intending to start a huge debate, I actually thought Reynolds made a great GL/Hal Jordan. The plot was weak though. Similar scenario as Routh with Superman. Made for a great Superman, but in a film with a weak plot.

I think Reynolds made a better GL than Affleck did DD.

They work better because both of those characters are suited for the strength of each actor. Both of these roles are perfect because the real people are more like the characters they are portraying. Affleck is a weathered jaded wise and seasoned while reynolds is the athletic wise cracking buffoon.

This is very true. When you get an actor whose personality is already like the way you're trying to portray a certain character, the actor doesn't have to do much acting. Affleck makes a perfect BW/BM based on how he's portrayed in the Dark Knight Returns story line.

Kinda like RDJ to Tony Stark too

I think Tom Cruise would have been a better Stark IMO, as it was originally planned.

Regardless as to how you see the guy (his weirdness) he's always made entertaining films, while RDJ plays Stark on every single movie he's in.

This is, of course, "my opinion".

Tom cruise kills it regardless, but RDJ hit it out the park and "made" Tony Stark. Where it would have been another Cruz movie

I really agree with this. Tom could have played the condescending tech genius and the quips could have been given to hawkeye like the comics(with another actor playing Hawkeye). As much as I like RDJ Stark he is kinda like Will Smith in that he seems to play the same character in most of his movies.

I forgot how long I've been anticipating this figure until I opened it. This thing is incredible. It's funny how much more I like the figures than the actual film. :lol (I didn't hate it, but I wasn't really impressed. Still need to watch the UE). Here are some pics I took to share.

My DCEU collection so far:

^The extended cut won't make you love the film any more if you downright disliked it the first time, but if you at least enjoyed it but thought it was flawed, the extended cut can take you to a "decent film". Where I might have said the regular was a 3/5, aka not great and not terrible, the extended cut brings that to nearly a 4, as in good. It doesn't fix everything, but it does make a lot more work.

i don't think it'll fetch $100. There's a BIN on eBay now for $130. It's not even that integral to the movie. Plus most stuff like that (part out bits) don't go for that kind of money, even exclusive stuff. An alt. head sculpts might go for something like that, or those little green holograms with ironman went for like $80, or the 1/6 arc reactor in a desk top box went for ~$100 when it first came out.

I see this going for maybe $40 on an auction. And then dropping in price over time.

I was having a mini dilemma on if I should still get this guy due to some accuracy issues with the shoulders and thighs because honestly, the figure looks better than the actual movie costume. The shoulders especially, they completely look like shoulder pads in the movie. How weird is it that it looks more natural on the figure?
The legs could go either way, and even then they look a little too sculpted on the movie costume. Well, anyway, after seeing more pics I'm totally keeping my order just because it looks so bada$$. Thanks guys!

It depends on the reason why people disliked the theatrical version on whether or not the UE will be better.

If you disliked the tone, the plot or how any of the characters were portrayed, the UE won't fix that. You're still going to dislike it. If you disliked the theatrical version simply because you thought it was choppy and had plot holes, the UE will fix that. You probably won't love it, but it'll be a better film. If you already liked the theatrical version, you'll love the UE.

Bats was available on BBTS on Saturday night and I put it in my cart, but by the time, I get my updated info entered, it rejected the order and said it was sold out again. 10 minutes ago, I clicked on the link in my browser history from Saturday night and it showed him as being available, so I added it to my cart and this time it went through. I even got a PO e-mail. Coincidence, or has that ever worked for anyone else?

Yeah I agree with all this. I fall kind of in the middle with the film personally. I think the tone is a bit too dark for its own good and needed to have a better balance. I don't mind serious takes on comic characters but even the Nolan films had some light hearted moments sprinkled throughout, whereas with this it felt like all doom and gloom. Also the theatrical cut felt choppy which the ultimate cut fixes somewhat. Overall I think this film has some good scenes and I like certain characters Batman/Bruce, Alfred) but as a whole the film isn't as strong as it should be.

So for the people that got it...is the cape mod a must?

It's not a must but it'll definitely make it look a lot better.

I get mine in a few days. I really loved the movie. What I find dark is in the avengers movies they kill ppl and make jokes the same time. That's dark lol. Still not sure if I will love this fig till I get him in hand. Really hoping I find the right batman for my collection. Crossed fingers they make a 70's version some day
