I finally had time to try the fly mod i had in mind using magnets.
One magnet inside the body and the other will go on the bendable pole.
Works ok on home heating pipes lol but might not be strong enough for being stable on the pole.
The inner body magnétique is not facing the outside magnét i still have to work it.

This is quite clever. I had thought about something similar to eliminate the need for the body clip. Keep posted on your progress... Looks great thus far.

I developed a pretty clever method for eliminating the flight stands altogether. Check it out here:

Combined with a magnetic attachment, this would be super-cool.

Would love everybody's thoughts.

I still can't understand why Sideshow asks to destroy figure in this way. they just can ask to send it back, usually they do that but I can't say what sorcery is this. Last year they sent my another headsculpt and never asked to destroy old one.

You would think they could salvage parts to use as replacements but I guess they get a good deal on buying in bulk.

So whats the verdict for you guys who have it in hand does it look good?

I did this with the MOS figure, way back. I fixed a magnet in his back and one on the pole.

What the hell? Has anyone seen this?

So...did SSC tell him to destroy the entire figure because they're going to send him a new one? Or is this way of saying he's dissatisfied with this figure? :lol

Either way, I'm quite surprised how durable the figure is. It held up for a good while. Figure of steel indeed. Not going to lie, I cringed watching it though. I hate seeing these things get needlessly destroyed.

Especially when parts of it could be used for customs or resold but I guess that's what they don't want.

This video hurts ,really.

The sorcery is... if sideshow asks you to destroy defective figure and sends replacement... what if I don't? people are saying that they will charge you again, but what if I don't have money on my card, how they can charge me. this mechanism is stupid.

Congrats on the acquisition and glad you liked BvS and gave MoS a second chance. I grew up with Reeve as well, but I quite like this rendition of Supes. Frankly, I personally find him a lot more interesting and relatable as it relates to today's world. Even though I still love Reeve's portrayal.

Did you watch the UE of BvS, or the theatrical version?

Thanks, SilverStar! I've enjoyed the back-and-forth from many of the board members, yourself included.

I saw the UE first, but went back and watched the theatrical release after. I noticed the added footage, but I didn't think that the film was poor or drastically different without the additional material. More than anything, I'm dismayed at critical response (including an awful lot of fans). I thought it was fantastic, warts and all, and I'm very excited for the JL film. Affleck, in my opinion, is the definitive Bruce Wayne/Batman (and I enjoyed Bale's portrayal very much, as well as Keaton's). Even though I'm a card-carrying Chris Reeve Superman fan, I certainly agree that Cavill's version has much more depth. I just wish his Clark Kent was a bit more....I dunno, bumbling?

I'm a bit of a fish out of water over here in the DC section, but I love modifying and photographing my figures. I really feel like I need to disrobe my BvS Superman figure to shave down the latissimus dorsi muscles so that he can put his arms a BIT more at his side (it's a fairly standard mod I make to most of my figures - especially the Sideshow ones). I'm also really excited to brush some lacquer onto his hair - that simple mod seems to really bring out the already-stellar sculpt.

The sad thing about the BvS figure is that I've virtually fallen out of love with the MoS version, but it's still a wonderful figure. I'd like to replace the cape (thanks for the message, jam2315), but I don't think that much can be improved over the BvS figure, though I've seen some wonderful MoS figures here. The physique of the MoS figure is more pleasing to the eye, but overall less accurate to the character in the film.

The only downside to the BvS figure is his limited articulation. I miss MoS's double-jointed elbows and overall poseability, but there's just something so regal about the BvS figure's stance and build, even just in a museum pose. And my biggest gripe with the MoS has been addressed (in spades) with the redesigned ankles and boots (skinnier and MUCH more articulated.

Anyways, thanks again for the reply. It's been awhile since I've been this pleased with a totally-stock figure!

No problem! :duff

Yeah, I loved the theatrical version but when I saw the UE, I definitely do think the truncated theatrical version left out some vital parts. It doesn't make the theatrical version poor, but I do think the theatrical version pales in comparison. Whenever I watch BvS from now on, it's always going to be the UE. I consider the UE to be BvS.

Regarding Cavill's Kent, I actually quite like it that he's not bumbling. I know traditionally Clark Kent is supposed to be bumbling, but it seems like in the Reeve films, the dual persona was more meant for Lois than it was anyone else. He's supposed to be the guy that pines for Lois as Clark and intentionally goes out of his way to look stupid, but gets her as Superman. In this new iteration, Lois obviously knows he's Superman.

I can relate regarding the two figures. My favorite Supes figure is now the BvS one, even though I slightly prefer the look of the MoS suit. The MoS figure is still great and I have no intentions on ever unloading it. I still look at it quite often. The BvS one though is just about perfect stock.

Well impressed. Flight stand is a bit of a pain but just takes futzing. Now where's that batman?!

If you could add the magnets that would be the ultimate flying stand.
I love the way yur création are designed very pro.
Definitly interested .
