I need to bulk up my T1 versions.
I'll probably thicken up the neck and traps for sure, probably the chest too as I'll take of the chest covering to do the traps. Is that what you did for yours?

you're welcome.
there is a detailed tutorial a few pages back. i don't know how many pages ago, because i set maximum posts per page the board allows (this thread has only 217 pages for me).
once you see 3 my posts in spoilers - that's it.
it's neck, shoulders, back and chest reinforcement, and neck is the slightest of them.
also jacket's shoulders are modded too to have that upped shape, but i didn't make a photo yet. will do with the next figure.

ok so here's the instruction.

part 1.

black rubber tape.

1.
the start.

2.
fill the gap with a narrow stripe of tape or with everything you want.

3.
put 12 (!) rounds of rubber tape on the neck. not more. i had a cool, thick tape that doesn't stretch. later i bought another, it stretched and became grey, won't use it anymore.

4.
put the head back on and make a cut lower than the hair line. or you won't be able to put the head on later.

5.
cut some of the tape like shown here. it goes from hair line to ears. then take the piece of rubber and put it on neck's bag - it makes the back stronger later. you don't want just a cylinder, you want muscles there.

6.
now two cotton discs are needed.

7.
they are divided in halves. then 2 halves are cut into halves, too. they will be used as written on them.

8.
oh i forgot. another thick piece of tape is put on the back/neck connection, and another layer of tape goes for the neck to make the surface smoother.

9-10.
two shoulder quarters are turned into tubes and covered with tape to make triangle trapezian muscles. i forgot to photo them separately, so i draw one of them inside. view from the back and from the front (so you can see the tapes cross).

part 2.

chest half cotton piece is put like this...

...and fixed with a tape cross (2 stripes) from chest to shoulders.

back half cotton piece is put upside down.

and fixed with a tape cross as well. don't make both crosses too long or too short.

so that's how it looks now from the side.

now the weird part. boobs implants. no matter what they look like, they are just stickers for furniture legs. they are really helpful, or the chest will simply fall inside in some movements. we repeat the muscle structure of a human body, remember.

17.
a really important part about the t-shirt. it's throat must be stretched. as well as t-shirt on MMS136. both t-shirts had giant throats, and a terminator wore them very inaccurately, asymmetrically.
do it carefully with two hands. every time you do it right, there will be a little click - then move to a next section. don't do that near stitches, but otherwise do it throughout all round.

look how big and hanging it should be. compare it to a movie screenshot if you want.
and as for a medicine bottle in the neck - it does same stretching with rubber neck. do that, too! it will be easier to put it back on the body later. i'd say "slightly easier".

part 3.

alright, now you just have to put the skin back on the body. it will not be easy. i spent a lot of time pulling it back, because new shoulders don't let it go back easily. on one of the figures i even had to cut 3 mm of the neck's top (i mean the rubber part).
a little ridge on the inside of the rubber chest won't go anymore into its slot on a plastic body. that's ok! don't try to put it there, or the chest will look weirdly.

and the result is what you've already seen. powerful T1 neck, shoulders, chest and back.

this figure actually has 14 layers on its neck instead of 12. i left it only for jacketless variant later. 12 layers are a lot better.

there are no photos for the jacket mod here. jacket's shoulders were changed slightly to have a sharper angle and be firmer. that mod is very easy, i'll make photos later, when i start remaking another figure with a jacket.

I don't believe anybody has posted this yet, but for those who were wondering about the Phicen male body for your Terminator arrival scene, here it is. Overall, not to bad a choice if you want a quick and easy display and don't want a lot of joints showing or don't want to frankenstein something. Obviously, it's not true Arnie size in musculature or height for that matter, but some of that disappears once posed. I like it more than I thought. One of these days I'll manage to marry my Dutch torso to the Kaustic Plastic heroic legs I have, but for now, this will do.

i really need such body because i need both T1 and T2 arrivals to complete the sets, but the body is so pricey that i still hope for a new bigger release.

Looks like it does the pose well but yeah the size being too small is off-putting. If the size was right it'd be an insta-buy.

Yeah if the made it a little taller and give it a bit more detail (it's very smooth) it's be a great body

I was banking on it for Conan but looks like it's gonna have to be the commando body

It's really way too short to be used for anything but this unless you can get some really long ankle extenders. A member over at OSW said that Phicen actually used the female skeleton for this. Hopefully they will develop a separate male skeleton at a later date.

I just got the mms33 endoskeleton. I think I saw a way to dim the led's somehow somewhere... They're too bright. Anyone know a trick?

I think it's a great figure for its time. The mechanics are amazing if you think about it. Just really wanted it to be chrome, that's my biggest issue.
