I know the original suit isn't,i just assumed the figure's suit was something different. My point was that the details on that suit is great, and would work really well for AC too without it looking like like a cheap Sideshow Batman figure in a fabric suit.Requires a newly developed body off course.

No the figure is not. And I have the ssc figure..the AC figure is MILES better. It's not even close.

And a newly developed body would have done zip. When you have a rubber suit you have to have the muscles and details in the suit. Doesn't matter how the body is.

Sorry bud but you are far off on your comparison and fix.

In terms of look, yeah it's up there off course. As for the body,it's only a matter of taste what you prefer.

I feel like all of these issues would be non-existent, had the thread just stayed in the video game section, where it was for two years before the proto pics showed up.:lol

I'm fine with the limited articulation for this figure. Batman isn't really a character that I'd place in a lot of dynamic poses anyways.

I also agree that Hot Toys is in a damned if they do, damned if they don't situation regarding the suit. People don't like that the rubber limits the articulation, but at the same time it's pretty much guaranteed that people (probably the same people complaining now) would be upset if the look was altered or if there were breaks in the suit to allow for better articulation.

HT has to make things real that could never be real like ultron, IM, and now arkham bats. They do the best they can. Personally it looks good, but the rubber is worth a second thought. My reason for passing is that I think it won't sell that well and batfleck might look very similar. For now, whether this is a must have or not is down to personal preference. There are a lot of pros and cons to weigh

I agree about batfleck version being similar. I personally choose to pass on their first attempt and I'll wait for BvS version when they work out the kinks. Besides, I never played the game sooooooo lacking a wow factor for me...

Its funny how just being in a different section can alter most of the discussion.
I think most of the discussions would have been about the game, dlc, hope we also get character X...or Y, wish it was this costume, etc.

Definitely. I just find it hilarious how things from the game (his head being too small/long, his body is too long, etc.) are more prevalent complaints when seen through the eyes of Batman fans who are looking at it through the general purview of being a Batman figure, rather than being an Arkham Batman figure. The strange thing, for me, is that they actually are complaints.

Never, in a million years, did I think this would be so accurate as to garner those complaints; I always assumed it'd be a realistic idealization, like their Ezio, or something, rather than being a super-accurate representation of the in-game model.

The mos suit is not fabric, not on screen, not the figure.

MOS does have fabric.
MOS suit has 3 layers. A silver muscle suit underneath. this of course give Henry the muscle definition as well as a shiny metallic look.
Mesh fabric on top of it with textures.
And then the pipings, gauntlets, "S", belt.

On screen, it gives off a metallic look.
The costume designer wanted to give the impression that he is wearing a chainmail metallic suit. Hence...Man of Steel.

I think that's what I'm impressed with with this figure.
I think HT did an incredible job translating a Batman videogame representation, into a 1/6 figure.
Some of these pictures almost looks like it was from the videogame.

I wasnt gonna get this...still not sure. I'm trying to limit the number of batman figures I have. I'm 100% sure I want a Batfleck figure.
If it wasnt for that, I would sure order this. I think it turned out to be a great figure.
I normally dont even like the extra mouthpieces and just prefer neutral, but this figure looks great with the angry facelplate.

That's the worst thing about this, and that's the reason it should not have left the VGM board. :lol especially cause most of the older complaints were from people who never played the game, which makes no sense as to why you would be in this thread - Batman or not. It's like a person who didn't watch 1989 Batman went into a DX09 thread and said "this is not how I want my Batman - he should be able to move his head, twist in the suit" and other things that are NOT accurate to the source material. The worst thing is that they said that it didn't mean a thing. Ha, no.

I still think this is a great looking figure though, totally worth it in any gamer's, or Batman fan's collection. I have not picked up many Hot Toys this year besides Mos Superman (funny because it's been discussed in this thread a lot, and even on this page) but this is easily a must for me.

I think we did get those comments before the move actually, so you're right.

Man... If you never played arkham city, you're really missing out. It was one of the best game period ! up there with mgs 3, uncharted 2, AC 2.. I think arkham knight will be great game, but i dont think it will beat arkham city. The performance of hamill is flawless

At worst, Arkham Knight will be a more than worthy successor, but we still get a great game regardless. And totally agree on the games you listed

I didn't say it didn't have parts fabric, I said it wasn't a fabric suit. Which it's not. The material is not "fabric".

You may be correct about the mesh being "fabric" but I'm not sure that even was. I'll have to check the suit when I go into the studio next time. It's the new suit not the old but made the same. Mostly. Or I'll ask Michael or Jim. If they are around. They will know the exact materials.
