This is the only HT Robo I have. I'm happy with it too. Not perfect, but what figure is I think once the BD version and Murphy are next to him on the shelf that display will be insane

Or next to BD T1, and the Armored Cop that can't be named while you wait for BD Robocop and Murphy

well the 1st HT robo had a pearlescent like finish but it was way too blue looking all right.

Yeah maybe not as blue as Robocop 2 but mine looked a lot like that pic

It wasn't too bad, a little too blue for my taste but was pretty decent for its time except for the sculpt by today's standards.

yeah but the old version didn't have it right either, it had bluish-white like finish instead of that gunmetal color.

Just recieved my Robocop and am generaly pleased, the whole diecast thing is a complete rip off though its really just plastic with some metal bits not sure they should actually be allowed to call it diecast and there is that really, really REALLY stupid gun hand which is just so frustrating it brings down the whole 'good feeling' about having him.

If any figure anywhere anytime needed a proper trigger hand this was it how they thought the articulated hand to hold the gun was a good idea is quite beyond me and although it seems a small thing it becomes so annoying that it spoils the whole experience of owning such a fine figure.

That and their stupidity thinking they had to use rubber on the elbows and knees. They could easily had done black
joints like the IM's have, but they went the lazy way and just used rubber sleeves.

This figure is the proof that HT could do the color job far away better then they did on this second version. They have no excuse to fail so hard this time!

That is one of the things I noticed about the V2 paint job and a thing that makes it a bit more positive, I almost thought it was completely diecast from the paint job.

I've owned the v1 and loved it for many years, but there is nothing on the original that is as good or better than this new version. I do wish the hands were sculpted, but the original ones don't look that good either. And as was said, the original did look like it was made of plastic, whereas the new one does look like metal, even if it's not as blue as it should be.

It wasn't too bad, a little too blue for my taste but was pretty decent for its time except for the sculpt by today's standards.

The v1 was one hell of an impressive figure for it's time (aside from the faces generic sculpt and basic paint) and I was more than happy to pay almost double for him compared to what other figures cost at the time. But, 1/6 has grown by leaps and bounds over the last decade and this new Robocop is about as good as it gets in 1/6.

Yeah, the die-cast part of him is a joke... not sure why they even bothered You want die-cast; check out the Tamashii C-3PO that thing is heavy

Yeah, it's more blue (probably too blue) and looks plastic.

I received my figure a few days ago and tried not to post any opinions until I had some time with the figure. Now that I've had it a few days, overall, I am extremely happy with the figure in terms of its engineering, build, likeness and quality. I don't think the skin tone on the face plates are too dark as a lot of others have suggested. I do, however, agree that the figure is too silver. The paint job in regards to quality, is top notch. But the bright silver and even worse, the reflective quality of the paint just makes the figure almost blinding even under normal lighting situations. It's not enough to ruin the figure for me, but I do think it's a real shame that HT's went with the bright finish for the final production piece. If they had made the paint just a few shades darker, it would have elevated the figure from awesome to FOTY for me.

Another legit complaint is the hands. I thought everyone was being overly critical of the figure when they said the hands were a POS. But it actually is damn near impossible to get the figure to securely hold the gun and have it look natural. Why HT did this is beyond me. It is also most certainly the reason they included the plastic gun, since there's no way in hell the articulated hands could support the heavy DC gun.

I still love the figure and think it's amazing despite its flaws. I also think the HT is a better value for your money than the EB 1/4 Robocop, which I also own. The EB Robocop's paint is just a tad bit darker than the HT, but it isn't reflective outside of its glossy finish. They both look equally impressive on display, but when you touch both figures, the HT just feels more solid and is better constructed than the EB version. I really wish I had experience with air brushing, because I would definitely try darkening the HT paint job if I could. Hope to see some other brave soul give it a go. Would love to see how much it could improve upon this near perfect figure.

Did you really just say that!? Yeah its still Robocop, but there is no pleasing some people. Holtrax, Mr. Walker, and others would still complain if we got the prototype. They would say the rings on his shoulders were wrong or the legs are too skinny or the chest is wrong. When its one of the best Robocop release to date.(Other than the EB one)

I love this figure.
I've been down on Hot Toys after being let down by the Silver Cent, but this figure nails Robocop.
Love the diecast, the rubber, and the finish. Great articulation and cool features.

Only complaint is that the ankles could use a bit more swivel.

Looks great on the shelf.
I hope to do a review and take some quality photos soon.
