Re: UEGENT!!-anybody who is owed clothing from moe's production's must read this-URGE

I don't disagree with you at all... and honestly maybe it actual action was taken it might send a message to others thinking of scamming or just walking away when things get too tough.

Although my comment about Paypal was in the case of items sent as a "gift" which many ask for and people also send just to be nice. I wonder if there is any legal ground passed 45 days if the money was sent as a gift as opposed to being for goods or services.

Sorry to hear about this. But sadly, I'm not shocked. Guy never seemed totally on the level in my interactions, to the point where his involvement automatically removed me from being interested in a project. I hope you guys can get this resolved, but past issues of this kind never got much traction in terms of a legal solution.

i felt you had him on the ropes when you seen that ebay dude for sale with recast head.. all he wanted was for it to go away remember....came up with a story...you i think caught him that day... but nobody listened...
What are you guys talking about?

I agree with what GB said, if all information I've read here is accurate, then a lot of this stuff sounds intentional. Such a pity. If the money on projects is seriously as high as 20k or even close to that than its a high probability of most or all of these projects not getting fulfilled. I'd have a hard time believing he's sitting on thousands of dollars waiting to get better so he can get in touch with his tailor. Hopefully he'll respond here. I wish you guys the best. I always hate hearing this stuff. :(

I agree with you, if there was action taken and he was prosecuted, this would be a big deterrent keeping others from doing the same thing. They may think twice if they knew there would be consequences. I would call Paypal and explain the situation. At very least, they should block his account so he can't accept any money from others and anything he has in it will be frozen. If a credit card was used and you file a chargeback with your credit card company, not only will Paypal take the money from him (if he has any), the credit card company will assess a chargeback fee to Paypal and they will pass the fees on to Moe. Let them put some added pressure on him as well.

Re: UEGENT!!-anybody who is owed clothing from moe's production's must read this-URGE

After 45 days, Paypal will not protect you, but the legal system will. If your Paypal payment is attached to a credit card, then you have three months to recover the funds, your credit card company will cover you.

The reason nothing ever happens in response to these type cases, is because most people never follow through. There is a lot of talk at the onset, but then they either don't know how to handle the legal aspect, they feel like a couple hundred is not worth the effort, etc. People continue to take advantage of others because they are allowed to. If he is not held responsible, legally or otherwise, then he will continue to do this to other people in other places.

By listening to these comments about dealings with Moe, going back well over a year, he was clearly telling everybody what type of person he is. A few listened and when the red flag went up, they walked away.

Even if a portion of what he owes everybody is recovered, it can be split amongst those who were taken. Something is better than nothing.

Actually its 180 days now

I dont know how viable this small claims / legal action thing will be. I'll admit I don't know the law that well but aren't those applicable only if your local? I mean, I'm not going to fly across the country to go to local court in another state.

I think the only bet we have is for a few freaks who are local to knock on his door and get anyone from his family to vet him or pay up for him.

You can only sue them in state... Meaning you cannot sue across the country. Paperwork can be sent remotely, etc but a court date you would have to attend. For many it would cost too much to do that. Plane fare alone would be the cost of what many are owed if not more. If someone were in the same state or were near that state I would absolutely seek action. The other unfortunate thing is that these things take an extremely long time to process. My wife had to file a lawsuit against her former employer in October 2013 and the court date isn't until spring 2015! The letters and threats however get sent early on in the process. You also get the satisfaction of them getting served by a sheriff. It at least could get wheels turning for some, but like I said... It's extremely difficult.

Thank you! That is what I was assuming. Basically, the law isn't going to help most of us in this case. Really, the only option now is to organize some sort of in-person meeting with Moe or his family members to set things straight. That is of course a lot to ask of anyone of us, assuming anyone local actually feels confident enough to do this on behalf of everyone.

I also imagine he does not operate as an LLC (limited liability) business either right?

Re: UEGENT!!-anybody who is owed clothing from moe's production's must read this-URGE

That I doubt...but can't confirm.

Re: UEGENT!!-anybody who is owed clothing from moe's production's must read this-URGE

NEW DEVELOPEMENT.......PLEASE SEE PAGE 1,.........i have asked the tailor "GEE WIZZ" to write his story , and explain his non-involvement in all of this...bleau really is a great upstading guy that runs a great 100% legit 1/6th clothing business and the hobby is lucky to have him. I really appreciate him doing this, for the purpose of not just clearing the air but also supporting what i have found out and maybe if there any people in moe's corner to maybe take a better look now and then decide again if he is innocent. I hate this people!!!! with a passion....I get no joy in doing this to what i thought was a rock soid friend in the hobby. moe was the very first guy i bought a custom figure or cothing from. I have spent i kid you not thousnads and thousands and thousands of dollars with moe. i bought my first 50 customs from him. I still have the list some place. I do not think he wanted to go bad. but he did in a big big way.... sorry but i have no sympathy for this man,. even if he is sick...he knew what he was doing, but the power of greed, deception and lying were all to powerful. he let this fester and grow until he squeezed every last dollar he could before leaving!! that is a heartless ''BUM''.

EVERYBODY PLEASE READ PAGE 1 OVER........ THANK YOU..

Re: UEGENT!!-anybody who is owed clothing from moe's production's must read this-URGE

Is very clear to me that Moe screw a lot of people, i ordered one chemsuit, and took almost one year to arrive, i constantly msg him and he never knew who i am, giving me the impretion that he didnt have records of his sales or he simulates and hyde the infos. After arrive i never consider buy anything from him again.

Re: UEGENT!!-anybody who is owed clothing from moe's production's must read this-URGE

We should continue to support geewhiz and have future runs paid directly to them.

Re: UEGENT!!-anybody who is owed clothing from moe's production's must read this-URGE

^ Agreed. From Geewhiz's email its clear that Moe wanted to be legit but sort of fell into a bad business cycle and just couldn't swing it. I mean, at some point he even had a little "business card" thingy he sent out with his outfits. Too bad for him, even worse for us I guess.

Re: UEGENT!!-anybody who is owed clothing from moe's production's must read this-URGE

Very professional email from Geewhiz, I don't hold them responsible at all, and thank them for taking the time to clarify their end, Moe needs to come on here and talk.

I mean theres nothing really he could say at this point. The nail in the coffin for me is that he has not contacted his tailor on any of those orders.

So he's too sick to submit orders but not too sick to collect money?

So lets see the excuses he gave to geewhiz customs

Online bank account robbed

Storm

Sick in the hospital

All of those are plausible, but to have mutiple successive excuses one after the other, some red flags should have gone up. But of course when someone says direct to you (as he did to me) I had a health scare just getting back from the hospital. Most peoples natural responses are concern and sympathy, which makes it even worse if he was lying the whole time.

Needless to say this is going to make a lot of people wary or completely done with $ upfront runs.

Its sickening that he asked for a few orders of runs from GeeWhiz to be able to "show off" that he was catching up and that this wasn't a scam (eg Ajkhunters tuxes) great photos great looking product everything is fine, so then everyone hands over their money and he cuts and runs.

I'm only out $130 which is nothing compared to some of the dudes on here but that doesnt make me any less mad.

Yeah I am sorry I got the tuxedos before others and unintentionally helped his cause by taking photos of my set, again I just constantly asked for updates on them and I guess he did exactly what you said.

Re: UEGENT!!-anybody who is owed clothing from moe's production's must read this-URGE

Nah not your fault at all bro, thats not what I was getting at. Its just a shame that this was his plan because when you see awesome customs and the clothing being done people get stoked.

I'm chalking up that $130 as a loss. The worst part is that I actually GOT my chemsuit and it was orange, not yellow. I sent him photos and told him I wanted a new one so I paid to ship it back and waited and waited for a new one to show up and it never did. I pm'd him multiple times and every time he just asked for my shipping address, which gave me some false hope that I would get it back.

All around crappy situation, I really feel for those who are out large sums of $, that really sucks.

Re: UEGENT!!-anybody who is owed clothing from moe's production's must read this-URGE

I have no dealings in this situation at all and have never dealt with Moe, Thankfully, sorry for those who have.

However This thread has caught my attention as I'm sure it has many others, the only point I want to make here is there's a feedback system in place here on the freaks, and to my surprise Moe is a 100% seller.

With all the delayed and undelivered items that's shocking, People need to leave accurate feedback in order for the system to work and to warn others of the bad selling habits.

Re: UEGENT!!-anybody who is owed clothing from moe's production's must read this-URGE

If all the posts are true. The guy has committed wire fraud in collecting wire transfers of money with no intention of providing the goods or services. If it is correct that he has rat holed 20k maybe someone should contact the appropriate law enforcement agency to prosecute him. This may well fall within criminal statutes. (Probably the state he operates out of. Howes got away with it. it is time that this type of pariah individual is brought to task and sent to jail. Liens put against his house or whatever assets he may have. I would suggest that someone residing in his state/city initiate contact with the FBI as he has committed fraud in several states. A phone call to the FBI might get the ball rolling. If nobody takes action and at least contacts the FBI/State Attorney General then all that is happening is a lot of pissed off people lashing out. I think the dollar amount falls well within the purview of a felony. I feel there is enough evidence against him to write this post.
