Mine arrived today, but I've been too busy (and afraid) to do the slick-back-the-hair-try-to-raise-the-goggles routine just yet.

I couldn't resist taking some photos right now though:

i've put the cat through the paces this month as i'm trying to decide whether to keep cat no. 2 or sell her. i am still on the fence, however.

with the undersuit removed, she has some improved articulation, but i've given up on trying to make her hair do anything it doesn't want to do. and i'm okay with that. i am not a stickler for that sort of detail.

pros:
  • she's gorgeous in-hand
  • easy enough to balance
  • fun to pose
  • her suit seems to be able to take quite a beating (gloves and boots included)
  • she looks great with bats (and bruce too).

cons:
  • she's not easy to photograph
  • she needs a lot of grooming
  • her goggles are definitely skeery (i mostly leave them off).

out of stock.

This bummed me out as well. I was going to buy a second Selina from AE once my Hulk reward points were credited to my account, but I missed out by one day. Fortunately, I was also monitoring a few eBay auctions, and much to my amazement I was able to grab a brand new one last night for $192 (including shipping). Hard to believe how excited I am to pay that price for a 2nd one. Not too long ago I'd have considered that outrageous & completely out of the question!

[*]easy enough to balance

I'm not finding that at all. Yes, easier than many Hasbro 12" figures, but I'm having difficulties unless I put her legs in awkward positions or at the very least too-wide stances.

Let's see some more interesting poses please - I need some ideas. Just make sure the photo shows the whole body, maybe a couple of different angles, so it's possible to duplicate the pose.

Right now I have her in a sort of walking pose with gun forward and I can't get her to stand, so she's touching one of the pipes in my diorama to balance. But this is too far off to the right side of the display and away from the spot lights I want to shine on her.

i don't have any brilliant ideas for poses and it's hard to take decent pics in my house because it's so dark.

i like her just sleek and sexy with one heel off the ground (first picture). but if you just want to see that she can be made to stand, i added two other random poses. i ain't saying her heels aren't tricky to figure out, but once you get her center of balance, it's a lot easier.

and yes, she is balanced on one foot in that third picture. normally i would leave her there to see how long she could stay up (joker 2.0 stood overnight on one foot before i took him down), but she was on my coffee table on an unstable piece of foam board, so i doubt she would have lasted too long.

Finally got this today and i'm pretty pleased with what i see. my only gripe with this release is that i wish it came with more accessories.

:lecture:goodpost:

This should have come with the bat cowl and the alternate maid outfit for the price (look at theaccessories with barney v2) looks great with the bat pod, but I felt a tinge of remorse paying full retail for this.

Okay, I got her goggles on and up without breaking them. I will just never move them again now.

Nice pics man, :clap

Yeah I can see her goggles going for big bucks on eBay in the future, what with all the breakages. Hot Toys must of known these things were brittle as ****, and still gave it the green light, :cuckoo:

I've never had so much trouble with a hot toy until now, it took me forever to "install" and adjust the goggles, but I finally got them on without breakage, and after one day to cool off from the frustration, the appreciation is starting to set in, :)

I have seen pics with the goggles tilted further back, I might give it a shot but I'm not sure if I should test my luck..

I like the photos that have been coming out lately. Keep them coming..sorry I was MIA for a while, been busy

Working on some posing
