I plan on getting DX11, DX12, EB Bats, EB Joker, HT QS01 Bats, Bat-Pod, Tumbler, Bane, Cat woman and possibly The Bat. This doesn't include the other lines I collect.

I'm going to have to say I'm getting both the DX 12 and this guy. Might even buy the 1/4 EB Batman Begins figure. Just because the HS on EB's looks a better. I'll just have me a HotBay Dark Knight.

I'm sorry guys, but I can barely see any improvements here over the DX12, I was expecting a much more accurate cowl, and no PERS, and less bulky shoulders... This thing is off in exactly the same things where the DX12 fails. I like the Bruce Wayne head sculpt it's more accurate at Christian Bale on The Dark Knight Rises.... My priorities are, The Bat, and 1/6 catwoman... To me get a 1/4 figure it has to shown really good improvements..

PERS isn't the problem, the way HT uses it is the problem. I guarantee that if he had better faceplates and the proper "squint", he'd be even better. Moral of the story: don't pawn it on PERS. :lecture

Someone might have already said but I haven't read the thread, Does anyone have any ideal how much these 1/4 figures are going to go for?

edit: Nevermind the 2nd part of this post. :wink1:

If the prices are the same how are you getting more for your money with the 1/6 over the 1/4? Shouldn't that be reversed?

I guess here's the comparison:

The 1/6 looks reminiscent of TDK aging. the 1/4 might look the way it does due to lighting with pronounced spots. Hard to tell until we see a variety of different shots from other cameras at the show.

Just had a thought, to have a sonar head you need the neck with a light bulb, but in the "all accessories" picture the sonar head doesnt come with its own neck.

That must mean that the normal neck has the light feature but in the photo of batman with the back pack you can't see the switch at the back of the neck.

So what are your thoughts? Is the switch just somewhere lower on the neck? Or is it in the sonar head itself?

I think they're equally good sculpts, just with different expressions.

Ones definitely more detailed, however.

Also, just noticed this in the specs:

- One (1) functional ultrasonic cutter
- One (1) functional radiation detector

Any pictures of that??

I assume those two pieces are from the Dark Knight movie (radiation detector for detecting marked bills and ultrasonic cutter for cutting the bullet hole out)?

Edit: sorry, found them:

I think PERS just don't work on Batman Bale because Bale's eyes are relatively small.. or they look small with the cowl, and pers work well on people with big eyes, or small iris, the point is the eyes zone looks off.. and it should looks even better on a bigger scale I just don't get it, it seems that they just upscaled the DX12.... (or downscaled the QS001).. but the result is both figures looks the same to me :monkey1

Don't know if the price has been discussed here or not but I checked on eBay and guys are selling it there for $518.

So the price in US will be $440-500

In UK the price will probably be £350

Not getting, its a fancy looking figure but I wanna save up for the Bat

same here.
really disappointed by the result. i'm happy for others here who think this looks phenomenal, but for me it looks actually aweful! the shoulders, the chest, the neck, the headsculpt, everything is looking strange. it doesn't work together, no harmony. difficult to explain. it looks like its being a very small figure, so it wasn't possible to get the proportions right, but damn, this is an 1/4 figure, and it should look alright.

the accessories are looking very great though and it has A LOT! this is what it should any 1/6 figure have for their new price-tags!

the bale sculpt... sorry but meh! sure it has some more details here and there, but it's TOO much details, so it gives me an overall look of Tom Cruise and not Bale...

i think hot toys just can't sculpt a bale batman sculpt by looking at this. they had so many attemps, and now also the 1/4 chance where you should have thought it would be easier for the artist, but damn no, again they fail :(

dissapointed, as I've expected to have an 1/4 tdk figure at my desk, but now i'm going to pass easily on this.

Everything about this figure looks awesome except for the cowl. The BW head is phenomenal and even tops the DX 12's IMO. The base is incredible and the amount of accessories is mindblowing!

But I'm disappointed at HT once again. You would have thought that after 4 tries at doing this, they'd get the cowl right, but it's still off. Why did HT have to incorporate PERS in this?
