In the film and on the original figure, the mandibles are just more thin and sharp, IMO thats what really sets this pred apart from the others

No the current figure, the new one. Cancel production, go back to it and resculpt the problems?

Won't happen, though i wouldn't count out them doing it again in a few years, they'll fix some of the accuracy issues but mess up some things they already got right

I'm late to the party. So should I get this one - or the Classic Predator? I'm not a big Predator fan so I wouldn't know the inaccuracies. I just want one definitive Predator figure. I got Wolf as a gift a few years ago and didn't like it.

Well I know you said you're not fussed about accuracy but if you get the Classic, even as a casual fan, you might notice its lack of bone trophies and necklaces such as the original Predator had. The copycat Predator from the movie 'Predators (P3)' lacked any trophies on its person and the figure reflects that. What people are doing to rectify that is transferring these (deliberately) missing parts from the original Hot Toys P1 release onto the Classic Predator figure - or they're buying the pieces from CREG customs.

If on the other hand you buy this Predator 2 figure you get a figure thats complete for that film, theres nothing else you might want to add to it as a casual fan.

It's what sets every Pred apart. Hot Toys needs to learn this.

I know a few on here are ok with how he looks at the moment but I guarantee that as soon as they screw up the mandibles on the new P2 Elder everyone will have the pitchforks out.

Thanks guys. I think I may go for the Classic. I can make some trophies and the necklaces for him pretty easily. I also like the look of the helmet on the original Predator a little more than the one on the P2.

Has the P2 elder been confirmed or is it speculation/hopeful thinking? I try to keep up with this thread but not sure if I missed an announcement or not.

It has not been announced but there is hopes for one as the P2 elder was used in the poster announcement. Nothing concrete. But we can hope. There is more reason to speculate for that than any other re-release (bar Scar and Wolf which i think are all but confirmed)

That's right, I forgot about there advertisement with the Elder pictured. I'd say it's a lock with the popularity of the 1st issue. Any speculation on which re-do will be next in the 1/6 scale? Should it be the Elder or will they jump around to different movies? I definately want a re-do on the Wolf and the AVP preds since I missed out on those.

it looks to me ,as according to ht's ad, elder p2 will be done in 1/4, as will p1, scar, wolf and berserker., i hope they do them all again in 1/6 also.

Same here. I'll be tempted by a 1/4 P1 but I doubt I'll buy any others in that scale. I'd like to but there expensive enough to buy in 1/6 as it is and to be honest thats the scale I would much prefer to collect. I can see HT going through and reissuing all the main Preds in 1/6 anyway, so I may just hold out for a 1/6 P1, even though it could be along wait.
