ausfan why do we get on forums to have a _____.

because its human ____ing nature mate and we are quiet aware of the fact that it is quiet childish. but look who your talking to
grown men and women who still play with toys.

Exactly what are you expecting for the people on this thread and this thread in general.

As far as I can see its always been like this

No sorry mate all the other forums I go to are positive and helpful. They sometimes get a bit heated only due to different opinions. But nothing on this scale.

Obviously I am missing something?

Well, no. But we all know what HT is capable of, and in most cases they are the closest thing to miniaturized living people you can get. Figures like Nicholson Joker (or Bank Robber Ledger Joker, for that matter), Jack Sparrow, Reeves Superman, Jack Sparrow, just about any RDJ Iron Man post Mark II/III, the list goes on...you look at these and your jaw just drops. They are spooky real-looking. :thud: With this one, it's like you have to squint to get it to look right, which is a shame. A delayed release and a tiny bit more tweaking would have been a better outcome.

Oh, and I wish folks wouldn't get so personal with each other over this. We all want this figure to be full of win, and we are all having different reactions to the final product. Some may want to feed this head sculpt to crocodiles (would make for great theater, kinda like roasting certain blu rays on a BBQ :lol), but lets not feed each other to the crocs. :peace

Exactly. Not one of us here is responsible for this travesty.
Or god send (depending on who bought this even though god bless'em, they're wrong but are entitle to their and opinion and have every right to own this figure)

Its HT toys that we should be angry with.

But HT knows their customers and they know that for every 1 person that says its ____ there will be 10 that accept it anyway and buy it.
It not the first time HT has done this and certainly wont be the last.

And people are going to _____ weather people like it or not.

Welcome to the human race

I think this thread shows the passion that a lot of people have for Indy. Everyone wanted the sculpt to be perfect. I look at the HT's Godfather figure and see something near perfect. Most don't just want an acceptable figure. I see more of HF in the figure than others, but as the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I in no way find the sculpt perfect. I do think HT's could have done better. I am still buying this figure, because as a whole I like it enough.

With only 114 post I would say so :lol

We are just very passionate about this hobby and we are very easily upset with manufacturers and each other.

It also depends on which thread your in also.

They is a lot of love in most of the threads on here.

Just be careful around new figure release thread because the proverbial ____ always hits the fan :peace

Well well this is quite embarrassing what has happened to this whole thread and forum over the last few years.

We have grown adults at most over 18 complaining and taken things personally. Wasting their time doing photoshop joke images to get laughs putting down and bullying people for liking what they see and are happy with. The same people since day one on this thread who have had no intention of getting this and are still are taking up 85% of posting absolute rubbish.

Here's is an idea get away from the computer go outside go breath in some fresh air and take your wife and kids or partner and etc and live a little. Move on and get some perceptive in your lives and stop wining about the price which you have known about almost 12 months now.

Oh forget can't wait till I have mine in hand very happy!!:yess::yess:

If you were so high and mighty then you wouldn't even be on this site. Especially one that pertains to collectible toys.

By criticizing those who criticize you're associated with them. To me association is enough to tell you to heed the same advice and get away from the computer and partake in non-hobby/collector focused fare.

I think the nay-sayers have polluted this thread plenty already...
figure is out, and that's that...
Time for people to move on, whining about it won't make a difference here...

I'm so old that I remember when people lost their ____ when they saw this figure. We had never seen such a detailed sculpt and clean paint work before. We had never seen Hot Toys before.

Talk ____ all you want, but this figure made people lose their minds back in the day. Then TDK came out and got a good look at the Joker and we started measuring eyebrows and counting nosehairs.

:cuckoo:

No it didn't. That figure looked like ____ when it was a prototype and when it was released. Some were able to justify it and pretend it looked okay, but it always looked like hell.

The board just wasn't quite as vocal in their complaints at that point and I think many were just relieved to have a Ledger Joker they were willing to settle. Now the rest of the figure was quite good for the time, but the head was terrible... which according to HT is one of the reasons they included the second head with the BR joker, it was a way to make up for that sculpt.

You missed the point. That came out in 2008, and yeah it was well received, but there was still criticism over the head, we all just wanted the clothes. Still, I never talked ____ against it, it is what it is.

Anyway, it's 2011 now and things have improved. Butters mentioned how the only "definitive" Indy is Ford and that how figures shouldn't be miniaturized looking people. While I agree with him, I still believe that this head is no better than that Joker above and that Indy could be better, just like Joker and other figures have been "bettered" without being 1/6 clones of the people they represent.

I guess this is just the nature of the beast and I should go back just lurking forums. Maybe I've just become too cynical and should accept everything that comes my way.

Criticism be damned. ____ this figure and ____ this thread. It's been a source of madness since it was revealed in January. Fine, I'm done. Enjoy your ugly Indy headsculpt with the nice box, great clothes and fantastic accessories.

Bah-Bye :wave

Thanks I will

Ditto. :goodpost::exactly:

Deuces. I can't wait to get mine.

How long after processing begins does it usually take to get stuff from Sideshow?

This thread is full of win :rotfl

Nay sayers getting pissed because people buying won't be swayed to believe this is the worst figure ever. I am spending my own money, why does it matter if I buy it or not?

LOVE IT!!:clap:rotfl:clap:rock

I think a bit goofy but to each their own.

Wolverine doesn't look a thing like Jackman yet he is a highly sought after figure. HT missed the sculpt but captured the essence of the character and he looks great on my shelf (top 5 figure).

IM Mark II - VI (all versions) never got the scale right. None look like a person in a suit yet is HT flagship. I own Mark I and IV yet again they look great on my shelves. The list goes on.

Many collector's "overlook" these inaccuracies however, we do it with Indy and crap hits the fan :cuckoo:

I think Hot Toys will eventually release a statement like this at some point just as they did with the Mark I. From this link below. Then everyone is happy. Those who purchased the figure now will purchase it again, those of us who cancelled will purchase one, its a win win for them. That strategy worked well for Lucas.

Not so. I am a "naysayer" and I dont give a ____ if you buy it and Im not stopping you from buying it.

But that does not mean I have no right in saying it is a very bad figure and its not worth 250-300 dollars.
