True. Look at those predator figure, crazy. I am pretty sure same thing will happen with TDK Batman and Joker.

Show me one completed listing of either the DX Joker or Batman, or OC Batman, where somone paid $800 for the figure. You can't just say, "Prices range from $200 to $800!" and have it mean anything. I can put my Rod Lavers on Ebay and ask $200 for them, doesn't mean the market for used tennis shoes is sky rocketing. These figures are inching up in price, yes, but these figures' value is based on scarcity, popularity and demand. Demand will go down when TDKR comes out, new suit or no. I don't see many people actually plunking down cash to buy these crappy used OC Batmans for $500.

Maybe not the OC Batman but I would pay $500.00 for a crappy HT Tumbler in a Gotham second!

You know what though? for those of us who have unhappy DXs, people wont wanna buy a leaky product, so we're in good shape to ask for higher prices

Tick-tock I disagree with u about the $400 because I know I'm right, but I will agree with you on that point. The numbers that guy mentioned like $800, I have never seen that ever...no one will pay for that. Maybe he saw a buy it now or something and he didnt see completed listings

Are you aware that there are Billions of people on this planet and out of those billions there are millions of millionaires and thousands of billionaires and that $800.00 for them is probably equivalent to either $8.00 or 80 cents for the average middle class person.

Never underestimate wealth.

But don't overestimate insanity, why would someone ever do that when there are buy it nows for like 250-400 dollars. Completed listings on ebay speak for themselves, that guy is charging 200% of what the figure is worth!

Ah, good point. I provide evidence, you provide the old "Still, I'm right, you're wrong" defense. Are you by any chance a lawyer? 'Cause your logic is air tight.

As for the DX Joker, of course it will go up. There will never be another Batman movie with Heath Ledger playing Joker in it. That's common sense.

If anyone can show me a SINGLE listing where anyone has paid $800 or more for a DX Joker or Batman, I'll eat my hat. I suspect the DX Jokers could one day get there. But not the DX Batmans -- not for at least another few years, if ever.

What others said, look at the pred figures, they didnt go down with the release of the new movies now did they?

yup. fresh, minty dx02. no oily parts. no warped ears. perfect figure in a perfect box. at $230 (currency equivalent), i count myself very lucky.

thanks. i still can't believe it. i've resigned to just wait for the 3rd movie or the keaton version 'til i saw that ebay listing.

Here tick-tock, proof of increase! Go to ebay completed listings typing in "hot toys batman dx" and you will see that as of extremely late december and in january there have been DX02s which have sold for: (2) $450; (1) $410; and (1) $380 as well as many others which have sold in the $300s

But NO the dxs cant be in the $400s right?! (COMPLETE SARCASM) and two of them sold on january 3rd. My friends the DX02 price increase has taken off!

Easy, dude. I never said a DX couldn't possibly sell for $400 or over, I said that's usually not the case. And, after doing an advanced search on Ebay, that's still my contention. Will they ever average 400 and above? We'll see. Usually it's only the ones from the DCD batch that go that high. My original argument was that it's silly for people to be saying they're going for between $400 and $800, 'cause NONE of them are selling anywhere close to $500. One insane guy has a couple DX Jokers and Batmans at $800 and $1000, and doesn't ever sell them. These figures are, in fact, going for between $250 to $400 on average. I'm sure they'll keep going up, but I don't think the DX Batmans will forever.
