I actually see it on his more than on yours, Asta. I, like Wor, wasn't sure what you were talking about. I didn't see anything in your pics.

This was mine on unboxing:

I saw that protective plastic covering and thought that that glare was from another protective plastic underneath.

OK, so you can essentially peel it off and re-glue in proper place? I can deal with that. Maybe even stitch that strip.

Yes, it's pretty simple to fix.

The worst thing is that it's an indication they didn't take much care with this release, and what that made bode for future releases.

Yeah, this reissue always smelt like they didn't want to leave money on the table...

Sorry to hear this 2nd release may have issues. I'll know soon enough, mine is flying in as we speak. Although I have nothing to compare it to.

Having just ordered the Riddler, I hope I'm not soured by problems with this, knowing how good it originally was. Even Justin said "top 5 figures ever".

I'm kind of curious as to what shenanigans took place to get this second run. This is coming from an outsider looking in. Just from readings of "people in the know" there are essentially 3 to 4 main factories. You wait in line to get your product manufactured. HT obviously get first dibs due to their clout. If a 3rd party company is not in the queue they probably have to finagle a way in, which could mean less than stellar product.

If the first release had looked like this then the 'wow' factor of being a Romero Joker would've overshadowed any negative reaction.

Yet that first release had that 'wow' factor plus it looked so classy (apart from the waistcoat poppers) that it was quickly being dubbed 'the figure of the year'.

Joker 2.0 certainly didn't look classy on opening. He was packed with the shirt collar in a mess, and the magnets applied haphazardly.

I initially presumed that the collar would simply require futzing, then realised that it couldn't be pulled together, and there was nothing to keep it even remotely together. So the factory workers had no choice but too leave it as it was. No excuse for the magnets though, apart from an apparent need to get the job done fast.

Like I said, I think the magnets are a plus (though both popper and magnets need to be hidden upon receiving), but the collar is a minus.

So overall it might be a wash... depending how "rushed" others look in the box.

One of my dreams is to spend some time in Chinese factories to see how all of this **** gets made:lol

Not just toys, but everything. How knockoffs are made next to the real deal and what all of that entails. The legit stuff and then the thievery of it all. I think it would be really interesting.

Collar is the worst I've seen it yet above.

And you must be joking about the vest since its not closed.

Man, I'm getting disillusioned. I should have grabbed one of Kit's leftover 1st editions.

You can see the magnet section sticking out at the bottom. It may not actually be past the edge of the waistcoat there, but if it isn't it's become detached instead.

It should be completely flush and hidden, sealed with a strip of pink fabric matching the waistcoat.
