He's a bit of a squeaky wheel isn't he that chap :lol

Not sure what creating a "private group" will achieve - surely anyone banned/blocked can simply create another Facebook account under another name and request to join? (not that I'd know - I don't touch Facebook).

This is a selection from Inart’s update. They know how to remain professional and take on board constructive criticism from their actual buyers/collectors:

“After the work was exhibited overseas at the end of 2022, we listened to the valuable suggestions of many collectors and we have created a feedback document. We have been using these suggestions to optimize and adjust during the production stage.

At INART we are dedicated to our craft and we want to make sure that our final collectibles live up to your expectations.

After releasing the Aragorn 1/6 figure, we have received some optimization suggestions for from veteran collectors and die hard fans of the iconic Middle-earth series.

We have analysed the feedback and source images in more detail. We are now making adjustments in armor / clothing / accessories and other aspects to improve the figure even further.”

I’m still hopeful they’ll get the Star Trek license one day in the future.

I have no doubt that these will be for obscure/niche stuff that not many of us would really care about. I mean half of what Exo is already teasing I don’t have interest in. Worf in a spacesuit from First Contact? That’s the kind of stuff he can save save for his exclusive club.

If Exo puts out core cast and solid tertiary characters then I’m good. Can’t say I’d be too interested in characters who have had fleeting one episode appearances or principal characters in alternative outfits that are not iconic enough to justify the price tag.

The only thing that could interest me for a higher price point would be better head sculpts or packs that would offer a head, maybe extra accessory. Example: a Janeway head-sculpt with hair bun, or a Riker option without beard etc. And I’m talking head packs only, not entire figures I don’t need the extra bodies for.

If they start doing super detailed figures at higher price points then I’ll have to skip. I can tolerate things as they are and for the sake of uniformity would keep the collection consistent in staying with standard releases. I really hope another company doesn’t pick up the license, I just can’t go through it all again :D

Yeah, if the quality was higher, I’d be more interested. As it is, I pick these Trek figures carefully. As I’ve said before, I’m a big Voyager fan, but the sculpts fall way short, IMO. Saved me a lot of money. I don’t see them getting any better either.

Random side note- I was on Nanjin’s page browsing for news and I must have been half asleep or something. I didn’t realize I hit the Add Friend button. He accepted me. He wouldn’t necessarily know my name though because only my first name is part of my forum name. :lol

He never accepted my friend request for months so I cancelled it.

He replied to someone that they won’t get in because their profile didn’t have any posts.

So … will these new super expensive super rare special friends figures be something new and unexpected OR will they be characters and uniforms that we have already seen proto-types of at the shows NOW being moved to this special category?

Wasnt he suppose to do ALL of the Captains first, followed by first officers or 2nd -billed stars instead of concentrating on the 3rd rate series ?

Kind of tired of the defenders on the worship FB pages bringing up Hot Toys every time a short-coming in EXO-6 is pointed out.

The Emporer Giorgio figure that he often likes to show off. Will that stay amongst his preorder general releases ? …. Or is that the kind of character and costume that he’s referring to as not being up to market and ”super expensive” ? How bout TWOK Kahn and Kruge ? Are they coming in as too expensive and too much of a financial risk to mass produce ?

What does age mean for Fakebook @Blackout? I’m maybe around your age and I don’t post that much honestly. There’s either too many bull**** posts and there are better places to be rather than be glued and giving $$$ to Zuckerberg’s empire so that he can control the world.

I’ll be interested in Picard figures if they’re done properly and not mishmash.

I don't think we have anything to worry about there. He's already stated multiple times that those will be a regular release.

Now a TWOK Scotty in his white engineering suit is a different matter...

…and he’s also changed course many times on things that he has said many times.

and Giorgiou is not a personal worry for me. While the protos are absolutely gorgeous, she is not an iconic character in the franchise for several reasons and the costume does really look to be high-end and prohibitive to mass production and affordability .

Now … is it possible that a Michelle Yeoh figure might appeal to other collector communities outside of the Star Trek base —- 🤷‍♂️ ?

I think if spacesuit Worf is a normal release then TWOK Scotty in white would be a normal release. . . at least I hope he is.

He should run these clubs through the EXO-6 webpage. I mean that's so obvious I'm having a hard time believing I have to suggest it. :ROFLMAO:
it's true. admitting users to some private club based on whether theyre active or not on a social media platform that hasnt been in the limelight for 10 years (and how much they kiss his ass) is a strange way to operate a company.

Just a joking way to refer to exactly what you went on to talk about, that people our age and younger (assuming we're not that far off from each other) don't really post on Zuckerbook much and so denying people access to his club based on facebook activity (as BurningRage mentioned) is an annoying metric for him to use.

He’ll only let in the people who have sucked up to him. Anyone even slightly critical won’t get a look in, most likely. Especially seeing how thin-skinned he is. He can control comments in a private group and kick out anyone who’s not complimentary. It’s self-serving and won’t do the franchise any good.

More gatekeeping from Nanjin. I really want to support this line but his constant need to control collectors is too much. How he got this license I will never understand.

I get the frustration. He's definitely not a "people person", but I imagine he got the license because the figures are good and he seems to know how to keep the line alive. It's already had more releases than QMX ever did. In fact, I think by now he's had more releases than QMX even showed prototypes for. That alone is a huge plus for him.

I try not to pay attention. Kinda like how I still listen to Metallica even after the Napster debacle, or still read H.P. Lovecraft even if he was a racist. Gene Roddenberry could apparently be just as big of a closed-minded fine fellow as Nanjin (Just watch The Center Seat) but I'll never stop loving Star Trek.

As long as the figures keep coming and never descend into Star Ace levels of crap, I'll be happy. And I may join that Section 31 group, if I can. I dunno what kind of figures might be in there, but I'm mighty curious.
