Ep7 and 8 can stay. I'll rewatch those. Ep1-6 are going into the black hole of forgetting. They'll never watched again and in time will be forgotten. They'll be in the company of the ST, BoBF and Kenobi.
Sure about that?...

See, I disagree, largely because visually… he’s exactly what you expect a “dark Mandalorian” to be. That’s what makes him thematically and visually so interesting is that, as the villain, he’s a walking perversion and corruption of Mandalorians. He desecrates their temples and sacred lands, builds machines and armies of war on the corpse of their planet, plundering their resources to wear his own mocking imitation of Mandalorian armor, profaned in the stylings and colors of the very enemy that crushed them. He’s a walking abomination of everything Mandalore stood for, and parades their failures at them in his very uniform.

I love a good visual contrast. It perfectly reflects the theming of the show, and how he’s the antithesis of their culture in every way.
JESUS DUDE THAT IS ONE FREAKING SUPER EPIC POST! I wish I could slam 100 more likes!

:clap :rock :bow :rock :clap

And great photos!!!

At first I was bummed that the darksaber was destroyed I figured that the Mythosaur would only bow to who wielded it.

But then it made sense considering that it makes it easier to accept why it’s never mentioned in the ST.

I also figure that we will see the Mythosaur unleashed in the movie.

But this is my question.

Are we getting a massive jet pack aerial battle in the Mando / Bo movie!

If so :thud:

I never said the armor doesn't make sense, but I do find it ugly and not (classical) SW-looking enough. I also never could stomach the lightup melee weapons introduced in TFA. Same thing with the Praetorian "christmas decorations" here in Mando. I'd have much preferred if the colorful "flash" had been limited to the lightsabers (and the darksaber) only.

You know as bad as Lizzo was I would actually argue that Riva was worse. Because there's literally no way to compartmentalize her out of the OWK series whereas Lizzo's one lame episode can easily be skipped and ignored if you want to enjoy the good stuff in S3.

The melee weapons are straight from Revenge of the Sith and Clone Wars.

I'd never even heard of Lizzo the Hutt until she appeared in the Mandalorian. Unless I'm looking at a picture of her, I can't quite picture her face already. Give it time, the mind will heal and she'll only be a vague memory.
Besides I'm old, I struggle to remember the names of people I see everyday.

I wish that were true but unfortunately the episode ended with Mando handing over the darksaber and Bo fighting Axe. :(

Even though the Armorer's Mandos don't seem that badass when fighting the first monster I'd be inclined to just have this season be Episodes 1 (for the bookend with Grogu and the other kid being initiated and setting the seeds for Grogu's mech suit), 2 for the first visit to Mandalore and Bo-Katan earning the Darksaber and then skip right to 7 and 8.

Rewatching BOBF 5 and 6 (I think I said 6 and 7 in a prior post but BOBF is only 7 episodes) it really touches on Bo, Gideon, fall of Mandalore, darksaber and Mythosaur quite a bit enough so that those 2 episodes belong more in Mando S3 than BOBF!

I view Mando S3 as really being 10 episodes long!

I was literally just thinking that since I'm replaying Episode 1 right now and half the recap is from BOBF, lol. :rock

And I guess I shouldn't say the Mandos weren't badass, they were at the very least fearless against the monster if not the most effective.
