Star Wars for me in a nutshell. It's a franchise of staggering highs and woeful lows.
So ... an abusive relationship riddled with codependency?
And can I just take a moment to praise Moff Gideon's upgrade? Someone seriously went "let's merge Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and Maul into one character."

What a top-tier villain design. Ugh, I'm salivating at the inevitable Hot Toy reveal of this.
I'm happy for people that like this -- I mean ... have your fun -- but I just don't see it. To me it looks simultaneously derivative and over-designed. :dunno

... but how way back in 1995 Braveheart gave us the definitive epic "two armies sprinting toward one another"
I remember reading about how that didn't happen in real-life historical battles. Armies would march up to each other, murder each other for a while, pull back, maneuver etc. ... but no full on charge into a thicket of sharp steel.

@Wor-Gar ... do I seriously need to watch this episode? Is it really that good? My Disney+ subscription is cancelled but hasn't expired yet ...

YES!

Did you like the RO final battle? It is that kind of "good old Star Wars" action.

The opening shot is Mandos on the run... and it never lets up action-wise until the bad guy 'dies'. Nearly 40 minutes non-stop action and fights and aerial battles.

That's why I do not think I can have crackhead Vader from OWK on my shelf.
Well, I have no problem since I never watched OWK... :yess: ..... :lol

For me, it'll be just a cool bad ass looking Battle Damaged Vader showing Ani's face behind the helmet..

:woo

And I'm gonna display him with my Death Trooper and my Shadow Trooper.

So be it. :lecture

OK, I'm just praying now that the Mando show is over and this remains as the finale to the Mando series for all time.

He can do movies, he can visit other series as a guest star... but I hope they leave this ending for this show alone.
Mando ended with Luke collecting Grogu for Jedi training. Season 3 is only for die hard fans who don't know when to call it a day

I have to be strong and keep stopping myself from finishing this season. And Khev and Jye's delusional praise keeps making me think maybe its not that bad.... Then I see Grogu clips and burst into laughter. :lol

I could barely stomach ep1 & 2. But thankfully my son keeps saying no he doesn't want to watch it and finish the season everytime I've asked him. Guess I'll wait to see what people say about Ahsoka and if one needs to finish or watch this first.

I'll watch Ahsoka but as soon as they start referencing critical stuff from the ST, I'm out

Ep7 and 8 can stay. I'll rewatch those. Ep1-6 are going into the black hole of forgetting. They'll never watched again and in time will be forgotten. They'll be in the company of the ST, BoBF and Kenobi.

I agree 100% about the suit. He was much more interesting and SW looking to me in his old outfit, sans helmet.

See, I disagree, largely because visually… he’s exactly what you expect a “dark Mandalorian” to be. That’s what makes him thematically and visually so interesting is that, as the villain, he’s a walking perversion and corruption of Mandalorians. He desecrates their temples and sacred lands, builds machines and armies of war on the corpse of their planet, plundering their resources to wear his own mocking imitation of Mandalorian armor, profaned in the stylings and colors of the very enemy that crushed them. He’s a walking abomination of everything Mandalore stood for, and parades their failures at them in his very uniform.

I love a good visual contrast. It perfectly reflects the theming of the show, and how he’s the antithesis of their culture in every way.
