If TOS and TNG aren’t completed before a possible Nanjin departure I’d be concerned if they’d get done at all. He seems to be the main driving force behind the company.
It's a legitimate concern but presumably one that he built into his business plan. He said he wanted his swan song to be STVI so maybe that will be his focus, leaving TOS and TNG proper until after his tenure. I think we might get a few more Mirror Mirror TOS characters. Maybe Mirror Uhura will be the first Uhura they do.

I think we might get some of the more obscure TOS and TNG stuff from Nanjin. Probably The Cage figures and the Menagerie set from TOS. As well as more Mirror figures.

The way I see it is that VOY will probably continue being the focus this year. There will be characters from other shows too but at this point they have to finish VOY and we’re already a third into the year.

Then next year will be whatever series is next (either DS9 or ENT). Then final year will probably be the TOS movie figures.

I know I’ve said it before, but I just don’t see how at this rate (which is still impressive mind you) everything finishes in five years.

Yeah I think it's obvious that he can't do it all in 5 years. Maybe all of Voyager and DS9 main cast plus a few one offs.

Well it certainly looks like there are a ton of figures that have already been prototyped (probably most of TOS, TNG, and DS9 by this point), so I don't think there's a problem there. But the question is how they'll actually be able to produce all of those in the next few years. Especially when you have some, like Seven and Locutus, that are going to be far more complex and might hold everything else up.

Also putting focus on things like EV suits (not just Worf from the sound of things) which are also probably going to take longer.

Heck the Borg Queen statue which was one of the first things talked about has still never seen much beyond some small teases.

Each to their own, but I don't get the attraction of those at-all :dunno

I'm only really interested in important characters in their "usual" clothing.

.

I'm waiting for Disco Bones, TOS, and TWOK. The line is really going deep on the randomness. Good for my wallet, because I've been spending elsewhere.

Yes the genius of Nanjn's strategy so far, is that he has got quite far in, including characters or versions that you would never have thought would get made a a thousand years, while keeping the ball bouncing. He was fully aware of the weakness of the QMX strategy of starting with the big sellers and then only going to the point where less popular character sales dip and his entire strategy is calculated to avoid that.

Obviously, people who want their favourite versions may have to wait and may ultimately be disappointed but let's be honest, that's a risk inherent in this hobby across the board. I think much ill will is down to impatience and the fear that it all stops just short of their grail characters plus the injustice of seeing other characters they're not interested in coming out first.

Whether he has rubbed some people up the wrong way along the way or not (and I think that it has been an over-reaction against people who are doubting that his grand vision can be achieved in a way that satisfies them), I am impressed that he has achieved as much as he has. It was a struggle to get Voyager and Enterprise figures made at 6" scale after all.

As long as he keeps mixing it up, different parts of the fan base should not be too overburdened with too many grail characters one after the other. Production issues will, of course throw that into chaos.

Looks like Nanjin has found yet more stock of TMP Spock, among other figures, for those still waiting. He's advising people are signed up to the newsletter to know when stock goes live. And TMP Kirk, even though I thought they were a UK stock mistake, are now in China, and does not ship to the UK. Oh, the irony :lol

Did he specify the others?

All marketing ploys people. He holds them back to pull this crap later on.

I'm not complaining, I skipped both TMP figures, but have always gotten my figures direct from EXO-6.

Yes, they’re in China because of the stock mistake. The UK retailer shipped all the Kirk pieces back at Exo’s request, so Nanjin’s friend could sell them :D

I can’t help myself….. please get me some treatment.

“Finding” more of Seven of Nine seems especially convenient given how adamant he was about it being sold out and never again available. Part of me wonders if some were held back so the higher price could be charged.
My guess is that these are ones that were either from unpaid invoices and/or replacement stock. As far as I know EXO has not raised the price on any of their immediate purchase stocks but I could be wrong.
