1/6 Why no love from Hot Toys for Rogue One, Cassian, Baze and Saw Gerrera ?

Obi-Wan Vader has to have the opened mask. I'm sure that is simply a Rogue One Vader on some different stand they have shown at all the cons in the last months. You can tell by the big front cod-piece.

I'm sure they'll reveal the mask etc as a surprise to get everyone talking. No way in hell they would release an Obi-Wan with rocks and not have a defeated Vader coming.
At the risk of sounding like the Hot Toys Wizard there’ll be multiple Vaders/Anakins from the show. You could make a good argument for all these being made…

1) Clean Vader
2) Battle-damaged Vader
3) 1:4 scale Vader
4) Flashback AOTC Anakin
5) Darkside Anakin (re-release)

Welcome to the party, if not a little late. But yeah pretty much everyone will be getting this.

The bigger question is will we get Cobb Vanth release with headsculpt ? Or will he be damned to Summer Con preview hell ?
Yeah they really need to address the Olyphant in the room.

I reckon they’re waiting for the single acid-damaged Fett to sell out first. Obviously they’re not against releasing multiple Fetts at the same time, but that particular acid-damaged look is very unique.

That and a company probably with not enough good sculptors, and other higher priority figures. I live in hope !!!

Tarkin doesn't need to show up for a lot of screen time. He can just be Admiral Tarkin and show up for a few minutes. HT will hopefully make him based on that. HT sees the after market prices of K2 and they made the KX quickly. They can do the same with Tarkin as long as he shows up.
Yes, he should be portrayed just like that.

Not that likely, yet maybe with upcoming re-release of R1 in IMAX in anticipation of Andor, they may revisit the Baze Malbus prototype for release.
Also being in Andor, a version of Saw Gerrera's chances just went up too.
I'll take whatever Andor is released first by Hot Toys. I don't trust them to revisit the figure.
If they do, great, but don't want to miss out.
Similarly I also doubt it, yet could be with the R1 IMAX re-release, they reconsider the R1 version of Andor.
Or what could be more likely, as the Andor show runs it's course, and approaches the Season 2 finally where he becomes the character we see in R1 fully embedded with the Rebels, and in uniform, they might eventually release that Andor, to somewhat represent a visual middle ground between Andor and R1, since that is where we know the story is heading.

Honestly for what Queen's figures cost I'll just stick to statues. Unless Queen starts making Star Wars figures, then I'm f'ed.

Queen Studios getting their hands on Star Wars would bring about a massive existential crisis, and I’m not just talking about collectors. :lol

Add a Brothers Two-Tubes Two-Pack

Shout-out to Admiral Raddus since we’re talking about awesome alien characters Hot Toys will unfortunately never do.

Saw and the Partisans would be great to see as figures. The Two Tubes brothers would make for a really cool display.

Definitely would love to get more RO figures, same as many here. It’s too bad RO didn’t come out before TFA.

The figures are about $500 each right? Let's see how they turn out, I think it's been confirmed that it's a different factory than their statues.

I can first hand confirm that they do exceptional work on their statues. I just got their Mark 7 in and I like it so much I immediately ordered the Mark 1. Those 1/4 polystone beauties are *only* $800, which personally I consider a bargain compared to a $500 1/6. The comparative pricing doesn't compute, at least to me.

Yeah meant statues specifically. A lot of people would probably start reassessing their collections to make space for them. If QS did Star Wars in 1:4 statues and 1:1 busts and statues, that’d be it.

Sideshow statues are getting up there in price and it always felt like QS statues are good value for money. Even if QS had a limited territorial license, they‘d make big waves.

Purely speculative of course. The Star Wars license is not easy to get.

The production version of the InArt Joker seems to be turning out very well. I hope they deliver for the people that are excited for them. And because Hot Toys having competition has been good for us. But I do agree, they definitely do get pricey.

The basic end is not too bad price wise. I think their pricing strategy is to capture Hot Toys collectors, grail seekers, and people who are used to paying even more for one off or limited run customs. Seems to be working so far.

To be honest, if the show is good, I would be willing to doubling up on the figure; one from the show and one from "Rogue One".

Hot toys could earn a lot of goodwill with Star Wars fans (something they are severely lacking right now) and give us cassian, baze, baze, saw, or two tubes at some point in the near future. I’m sure we will never get them all, but a few would be great while we wait on that second wave of aotc figures that will include mace, padme, kenobi, anakin, dex, poggle the lesser, wat tambor, destroyers, and young boba. Damn that edible kicked in hard…

LOL you had me until your aotc index. :ROFLMAO:

The Hot Toys completest vision Quest is a treacherous path.

Would be so nice to get Baze. I hate you Howard !!

As for R1 Cassian. I think there is a decent chance he'll have the same outfit in Season 2 as it leads up to R1. Plus it forces us to essentially buy 2 versions of Cassian. S1 + S2. That suits HT strategy fine !

So it's still a while off, but I have hope we will get a R1 version. Or close enough to it, I want that blue parka look with backpack.

Also S2 is a good chance for them to re-release K2-SO.

I wonder if they'll be showing R1 in IMAX here in Europe. Hope so. Would be great to see on IMAX.

or....Inart if you make the remaining Rogue One figures I'll buy them all :lol

For real though. I at least want Jedha Cassian.

Absolutely!
"The last 3 episodes from season 2 happens 5 days before the beginning of Rogue One, according to Tony Gilroy"
""

Last three episodes. That's plenty of content (almost a movies worth), with Andor set right into R1, maybe even seeing a certain Guardians of the Whills protector(Baze?), and a rebelling Cargo Pilot (Bodhi?), by end, could be we get some R1 specific likenesses after all.

Although when we first meet Andor in R1 he isn't in his regular Rebel Officer Uniform, but in Ring of Kafrene assassin look, "leather: jacket, satchel, actually a pretty slick look.

Yet by then he is fully embedded with the Rebles, so before this he will likely be seen in the regular Rebel Officer Uniform, which could finally garner that figure.

InArt is not a direct competitor of HT. They are a higher tier product. If Howard isn't a SW fan and never got the SW license, we're probably still playing with SSC crap. Well, not we, because I would never have started into this rabbit hole with SSC stuff.
