Not really. Generally it’s later in the day after the Hot Toys reveal. I feel like maybe they’re holding back on some things at the moment to not flood the market all at once given that Hot Toys has multiple reveals in one night.

I mean in some cases it takes a bit for the reasons you stated. They still have other stuff to put out, as long as I can preorder this and Wolverine it will be fine to wait.

Just like I was saying before- personally being in this hobby as long as I have and having a general idea of how things operate I’m not that excited about pre-orders anymore.

Just because the wait times are so long. Doesn’t matter if I pre-order today or not because the figure in most cases isn’t coming for a year or more.

Honestly too I used to be more gung-ho about pre-ordering and sometimes having regrets later. Now I wait usually until the final reveal pictures if not a little after until the figure is in stock and shipping to order.

I'm also in the no reason to preorder hot toys figures camp. I think they are making more mistakes than ever and their choices of characters is sometimes baffling, why make a vulture now? why are they doing a halfbody lizard when another company is making the whole figure and what normal collector would buy both?

Also, their prices have gotten out of hand for what we are getting.

I usually wait to PO since we never know what quality is gonna be like. Rather wait for the final product then order outright.

I disagree about quality. Generally speaking I know what to expect from Hot Toys. They don’t always make perfect figures but all in all they normally make ones that are good and I’m not ever truly disappointed.

I'll say this for their quality, what you see when you preorder is generally what you get but with a softer detail in most faces.

That notion that 'this is just a prototype' seems laughable because hot toys rarely improves a figure in a meaningful way.

They bragged about improving wen-wu and I wasnt even sure what they did. When people complained about gladiator hulk knees, they improved the hairline on a figure most will just use the helmet with. People complained about the height of the IM mk 1 2.0 from the very beginning, 10 years later with 3.0 they give us meaningless die cast and a usb powered fan nobody even asked for. Seriously the height was the only reason to make another of those.

They still make cool toys, but you are are certainly paying for what you get. And the quality has certainly slipped. They used to hit homerun after homerun. When they started the awful PERS stuff that started to change.

Maybe the original sculpt, but Hot Toys paint apps have come a LONG way. This looks frigging amazing to me !

Not sure if I want to go down the Spiderman rabbit hole, but I am tempted.

Surprised this wasn't posted in here yet. Custom sculpt by V'Collectibles. Much as I love the HT, this is much closer to what I would have expected for NWH.

Just looks so cheap by comparison.

The lack of shine on the suit is a real bummer in comparison. That's a big difference on Garfield's outfit compared to Holland and Tobey.

8 years later from the last ASM2 figure and they still don't bother trying to get that part of it accurate.

Inart does not have the marvel license. Apparently it's hard to get so don't count on it anytime soon

Really hope these go up on sideshow cause I am tempted to get it at OSK but I only want to go through SS for the payment plan and points. Not missing this figure I'm thinking I'll probably get the deluxe might as well go all out for this line.
