Fortunately, Disney's Imperials are only capable of running and dying en-masse due to the most minor injuries, making the possibility of them frying people alive or blowing up a planet full of innocent people laughably remote.
No, no, no, no... that's the Empire from 10 years prior to the first Death Star plans being stolen. There were a great many performance evaluations in the interim to isolate those and the types of stormtroopers who become virtually paralyzed from a light slap across the helmet.

They were designated for transfer to non-essential locations. Unfortunately, there was an eventual clerical error when the second Death Star was being built that led to many of them being transferred to Endor by mistake. Oops!

The weeding out process also isolated most of the types of Imperials who think nothing suspicious of an unfamiliar comrade with a bulging trenchcoat and two pairs of radically different-sized feet. Where those were transferred to has not yet been revealed, but I'm betting we won't have to wait long to spot them on Disney Plus. :yess:

:lol :lol

Epic post as usual I agree with your assessment. In ROTS Yoda even scolds Anakin about attachment, loss and grieving.

I was just messing with Sass is all. I like Sass he always cracks me up.

a-dev was also agreeing with Sass so i’m curious now what a-dev thinks after reading your most excellent rebuttal…

a-dev, what say you….

a-dev….

Well, in more recent times I've felt Princess Leia's reaction to Tarkin going ahead and blowing up Alderaan is a bit weak considering the magnitude of what was about to happen. If Star Wars were a different kind of film I'd think they'd have made more of that, at least in that particular moment. Then later she could have been shown to have collected herself and be willing to say things like ''we have no time for our sorrows Commander'' which I think she says to Willard on Yavin.

I do think as time has gone on Star Wars has become a different beast than it was originally intended (or perceived by audiences). It has sought to add more gravitas and depth from ESB onwards (with its varying degrees of success) and perhaps Princess Leia's reaction to the destruction of her home planet would be stronger and more played upon were it written now than it was back then. I dunno.

As to whether this helps my own position when I agreed with Sassafras or undermines it, I do not know.

I think Star Wars was a true Saturday morning serial. Empire Strikes Back was a space opera, and it was Return of the Jedi that errr... jumped the Sarlacc ... or something ... into cartoon territory.

Disney gave us a hardbitten war movie, a harmless caper flick, and maybe a season or so worth of space western, and then a whole lotta ... well ... you know.

Thinking about how the show made no effort to de-age Anakin for the most recent flashback...I wonder if they just decided that the main audience probably wouldn't have revisited the PT very recently and wouldn't notice the jarring difference.

Dude wait until you see the TPM flashback…

With BOBF I always knew that RR could deliver a Rancor stomping awesome good time with the finale due to not only his Mando Season 2 episode but his entire body of work.

With Chow we've now seen what she's capable of and I'll be surprised is she somehow shifts her entire quality of filmmaking from episodes 1-5 to the next one.
After Spy Kids, Spy Kids 2, Spy Kids 3, Machete and Machete Kills I totally understand your unwavering confidence in him.

Poor Ewan saying he barely wanted to film ROTS after seeing the fan reaction to TPM and AOTC, but then finally getting excited about playing Obi-Wan again 20 years later after kids grew up and ended up loving them.

So then he makes this show only to have everyone hate it all over again and now he's stuck waiting another 20 years for it to be appreciated. :lol

Did he ever notice the positive reaction to ROTS? (Yes, it did actually exist!)
