Janeway may have sold out quickly on the EXO-6 site back during the preorder phase, but I casually just popped over to Sideshow and bought one last week. And I grabbed the EMH on BBTS, despite him being sold out all over. I had a ton of opportunities to grab FC Data and Picard when they came out, but decided to wait for TV versions. Even the ones that are scarce now were obtainable through other sites at one point. I appreciate that Nanjin offers these direct, but that’s not the ONLY option. So, even if the EXO-6 site sold out on a preorder, that’s not the end of all hope. If this stuff makes you guys nervous, you clearly never felt the pain of being a Bandai Macross collector with 1-second sellouts. 😆
Agreed, Janeway is still readily available at BBTS. And yes, I've ridden the Macross collecting ride as well. People complaining about Exo-6 selling out quickly must be inexperienced collectors.

Sadly I feel the same way. Don’t get me wrong I think Trek fully under Nanjin is far better off for Trek but there was a lot of potential just flushed down the toilet by the way QMX handled their attempt at 1/6. Westley will never have his Buttercup or companions. There might not have been enough demand but that figure came out really well in my opinion and so did their Trek figures and even Mal from Firefly (they went the extra mile and put in the better 2nd headsculpt). For a company just starting out in 1/6 they had what looked like a bright future and other companies, both IP holders and competitors were starting to take notice.
The worst move QMX made was launching lines that they then abandoned after one figure. I bought Mal and had my cc at the ready for their next announcement (that never came). I felt betrayed, but when Wesley came out, I jumped on that one and, once again, was ready top pre-order anything else they put out there for that line ... but there was nothing to follow. Now, even if they were to announce figures for a show I'm dying for (say, Deadwood or Tombstone for instance), I wouldn't allow myself to be fooled again. Now they've put all their energy into vinyls ... it's such a shame. I was in their corner and now they've lost me as a customer.

I will be getting all versions of Pike but after watching this week's episode, I am hoping this will be the Pike uniform we first get from SNW:

June 23rd really can’t come soon enough even though the UK will still be several more episodes behind - yes I know I could find another way to watch the series but if it’s as good a show as people are saying I want to support it with official viewing numbers week by week.

You're right I've been collecting since the mid 90s and haven't a clue.

The closest approximation to availability of gap fillers, as far as outside consumers can estimate with available data, will be like the release of ThreeZero’s convention exclusive 1/6 scale Berserk for 2021 that had 1800 units made. Particular Asian conventions had 50 to 200 allotments. US had, I think, 500 allotted. They were available on Sideshow by invite-only for an hour, and then lasted four to eight minutes for open orders. Immediate sales on eBay for $800, price has scaled back to $500 to $600 now that US supply was delivered and FOMO subsided. I could be wrong, but I would guess Star Trek figures with actor likenesses will be more popular than an anime character that is not part of a large line of franchise characters.

Anyone who wants to compare the availability of a figure that had an open edition size based on preorders vs a limited edition size set by the manufacturer must be an inexperienced collector.

Great lineup - but OMG - what IS MM Spock doing to Bones ?!?!?

.
:lol my friend said the same thing. I didn’t notice it until he pointed it out to me. I just shifted the figures I had over and left the EXO-6 figures in their previous poses.

So no Scotty or Sulu for you either? Glad it's not just me.
Yeah, I had came really late to the game with the QMX figures. Tried to pre-order Sulu and Scotty, but it was clear the order wouldn’t be fulfilled so I cancelled.

I’m wondering what Bones is doing to that chair…
I was trying to mimick one of the promo shots that QMX had for the chair. Not sure if I’m happy with it either. :lol

I got the short end as far as those two as well. Someday I hope we have the entire bridge crew from TOS. At least I have enough for an away mission
Interestingly enough, I have Scotty and Sulu and the chair, but not Kirk, Spock, McCoy, or Khan (I was waiting for QMX to release the Wrath of Khan versions). So ha-ha on me. BUT, now that Exo-6 is making them I am a happy boy once again.
