Hopefully it means the Transport Trooper is soon as well.

I like him better in green, and with the ESB inspired breastplate.

I like the Transport Trooper better too. Added bonus that they will look good with the Mudtroopers and also potentially the Pascal sculpt and hopefully a future sculpt of Bill Burr.

I want to buy this to support the Rogue One line as I'd like a Baze and RO Cassian to finally happen. That said, I'm not sure I have much space for it.

Currently have K2, Krennic, Chirrut, Deathtrooper, Shoretrooper, and Jyn. This trooper would be nice but still leaves the hero lineup just as incomplete as before.

My plan was to put him with the Mudtrooper too, because he's lonely as the only green trooper. Was also thinking of putting the Pedro head on, and have him hold the helmet.

I have a pair of them ordered and would really like to see a Burr sculpt to potentially have the two together. I'm still pretty salty that lazy HT didn't bother to offer a two pack with the obvious sculpts or even just each individually.

If you've been reading the banter in the Boba movie thread, you know I prefer Warriors to Wizards.
I'm just still irked about the imperial to rebel ratio for the Rogue One figure line, it's like a C-3PO stat.

Here it is in visual form (cred to Getter Dragon):

Still odd to not see a Baze figure made as the actor is from China and this is a Chinese company. Cassian is a lead and not made either, but you should get him for his show. Saw was kind of weird and small role.

I still haven't lost hope that we can get HT to make Baze when the Cassian show hype is real. Like they did with Cyborg for the Zack Snyder JL line.

Just need to make it known on FB or wherever !

SW was not popular in Asia at all pre-Mandalorian besides Japan and Hong Kong but the Chirrut sales must not be great. They did make a lot of troopers, those sell better in Asia. HT was probably hesitant to dive deep into the Rogue One team because of the TFA leftovers.

Definitely believe that the combination of poor sales and over produced prequel figures played a big part in the missing rogue one figures. Rogue one was a big hit and mostly loved, we should have had cassian, baze, and saw. Hopefully we fill some holes when the andor show comes out. I’m in the very very small minority that would prefer rogue one figures before any boba or mandalorian figures. I just love the movie.

Funny, I had my squad leader on flex, so I called sideshow to tell them to process the last payment. I also asked them to make sure my figure was sent out in the shipper, as I’ve had 2 figures sent out that looked opened. They guy said don’t worry, they have thousands of shore troopers in stock. If they get discounted, I’ll grab more. I can see these getting lost in the shuffle with boba, mandalorian, and the never ending marvel onslaught.

Gareth Edwards has said they put this helmet in the film specifically because George Lucas visited the set and picked it out.

So if anyone needs a bit of a push because they’re on the fence, maybe that will help. I have the ANOVOS helmet, and I like having that sort of background info and connection.

Though it’s a really cool trooper design overall from a great movie which is reason enough to get the figure.
Thanks for the info, a really nice story that. I agree with George it’s the best of the RO helmets. I wonder what George would’ve said if JJ had asked him the same thing on the set of The Force Awakens

The visual design of Rogue One - armor, sets, costumes, ships, etc. - is so well executed and timeless because everyone onboard understood how important it was to make it flow seamlessly into the OT and A New Hope and respected Lucas’s vision while building on it.

Gareth Edwards has a self professed love of ANH and has talked about the importance of staying true to the look and feel of the universe.

Doug Chiang: “Like myself, [Gareth Edwards] held Star Wars: A New Hope as the benchmark of excellence for cinematic design. And because the story of Rogue One takes place before the events of A New Hope, and in fact directly links to George’s original film, we knew our new designs had to dovetail seamlessly with it. This made our design mission even more daunting.”

It’s be nice if he came back to do another film, but he said one was good which I understand. Really nice sentiment from him though.

Gareth Edwards: “Oh, God. I think it’s amazing to be offered it once in your life. It’s like going to the moon. ‘Star Wars’ is the most incredible franchise ever created, in my opinion, and will always have a special place in my heart. But I feel like I got to climb Everest, you know. I got to land on the moon. And I’m very happy with that. So I need to step aside and let someone else carry on the legacy.

Also doing it, it felt like it was never my film. It was always something we’d borrowed from George.”

Everything in Rogue One was so well thought out. The look, feel is perfectly OT, the designs are amazing and I the story actually made the OT better. Rogue One was my favourite Star Wars experience in theatre. I’ll always remember how it made me feel.

With all the special edition etc…I wish they could add in a couple of Rogue One designs into the OT as background. Eg K-2S0 droid on the Death Star, or a U-wing in the background of Yavin. Just little things.

Which makes you wonder why Gareth Edwards isn't making more SW content. KK cans the good ones!
