Moreover I find it implausible to digest the idea how Fett could easily took over Jabba's family by simply blasting Bib Fortuna and couple of grunts and became the laughable...daimyo. What the hell is this? Japan warring states period ?

Yeah that also is odd. Did Boba kill a lot of Bib’s guards/court? Where are the other Hutts? Jabba’s space and palace still belong to the Hutts so why haven’t they claimed it? Is the daimyo like a mob boss so he still has to contend with local and regional authorities? How much of Tatooine did Jabba have full authority over? The whole government and underworld is very confusing.

I always enjoy the deconstruction of my favorite characters. Why build them up and just face tough circumstances? No, you tear them down, embarrass them to the point where they are nothing like the original iteration, then redeem them quickly in some deus ex machina kind of way cause the writer(s) didn't know how to stick the landing.

Not sure Hollywood is approaching this how most Boba fans imagine him being.

Yep. Currently the Fett crime lord empire is ran by 2 people, a couple of gammies and a torture droid.
Jabba had a small army in ROTJ.
Fingers crossed episode 2 is awesome and a big improvement.
The issues raised in this thread won't disappear though even if the 2nd episode is great. Your point about Boba taking over just because he killed Bib Fortuna will still be there for example. The fact that Boba started wondering around the place declaring he's now in charge and expecting tribute when he had only himself and 3 others to enforce his rule, will always have happened.
Oh boy, the rest of this season needs to be great.

I liked today's ep a lot better.
Slow build up to what will be ******* chaos in the upcoming episodes now!!
Totally, can you imagine once it get's moving and he has all his people in place !

All I'll say is,

Spoiler Spoiler:

love today's episode, kinda slow from the beginning and I thought it's going to sucks, but wow things escalated really quick. Love that one as a figure, so bad azz.

For all of those who so dramatically checked out after episode 1.
I thought it was going to be bad when Fett had his bluff called and Fennec got the information out of the assassin instead, but the rest was great. A lot of flashback in this one though as good as it was, leaves less time to wrap up present day events.

I had no idea who Steph Green was before this episode, but I think I just saw the best piece of Star Wars content since Revenge of the Sith. Who needs the movies when you have episodes of this length and quality.
Oh lord that made me roll my eyes.

Thanks for the laugh.

The show sucks bantha balls. If you enjoy Boba Fett as a Disney Prince who dances and makes sticks congrats.

That's a bold statement when we had Rogue One since. I'll check it out later and see 👀

Well when you release your show episode by episode we’re gonna judge it episode by episode. And the first one was a stinker.

It really wasn’t. Just because you thought it was a stinker doesn’t mean it was a stinker. People are entitled to their opinions and all but I really have to say I think you’re very wide of the mark on calling it a stinker. Other than that we tend to have similar opinions on most things Star Wars, so let’s just agree to disagree and move on.

You really seem to have a good grasp of what makes a good story. Congrats you! Disney Prince lmao. I suppose you also thought Dances with Wolves sucked, am I right?

I’m well aware that it’s just my opinion and not a fact :lol

It must have since I never heard of it.

Please explain the motivations of Boba Fett. Why does he try to escape capture in one scene, then voluntarily returns the next? Why does he give up being a Bounty Hunter, after mentioning to the Rodian his ship and wanting to escape, to becoming a Tusken Activist in the span of a few dozen minutes? Why is this character, who is an established Bounty Hunter in multiple pieces of canon media, from movies to TV to novels to comics, dozens of hours, give up his known life in mere minutes?

How is a show good, let alone, “the greatest Star Wars content since ROTS,” when it can’t adequately explain the motives of the main character?

The show is clearly not going in the direction lots/most expected. "Not for everyone" may be my definition of today's episode. Enjoying the place where John Favreau is bringing us and how it feels like he is laying the foundations for the rest of the season AND likely future shows.
The show lack of immediate payoff is kind of frustrating. I would have likely enjoyed a more direct approach with higher stakes from the get go but I'm keen to give Favreau a chance to surprise me with a slow start if it means a bigger reward in the end.
