I just hope that the next trilogy is given to a proper director, Jon Watts was mediocre at best, which make me worry about the new Fantastic 4.
Agreed he's not the most visually exciting director, and I really missed the style and flair we got with the Maguire/Garfield movies, but he's still an excellent storyteller, or otherwise all the emotional beats in the last three movies wouldn't have landed nearly as well as they did.

In fact when it comes to that I'd probably put him near the top of the pack of Marvel directors so far and alongside the Russo bros. And certainly above Joss Whedon.

If anyone wants to see the movie again, have at it!
Just note it expires at midnight tonight.

Can you please elaborate on this? I'm not familiar with what you're referring to.
The TL: DR version is that Sony Pictures got hacked in 2014, and a ton of internal emails got released to the public. A LOT of dirty laundry and internal politics got aired, producers badmouthing A-list actors and directors and what not. (Think of it like if all the popular kids in high school had a group chat, and it suddenly got released to everyone else.) On top of that, she writes her emails in this absoultely bizarre syntax, like she's got some issues. It was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen.

The upside though is that the Sony parent company in Japan got MAJORLY upset because of the embarrassment, demoted Pascal, and basically took creative control of Spider-Man away from the Sony Pictures producers and TOLD them they WOULD be working with Marvel AND be following Fiege's lead going forward.

If you’re being honest with yourself… Sony tried to force their way into the mcu and the mcu literally threw them back out, and even kept the symbiote so they wouldn’t even need to work with Sony to do venom.

I know people here disagree but the idea that they’re “planning” together is absurd regardless of what they say publicly. If you “planned” to introduce venom, would you send him back without even being in the movie? Just in and out in post credit scenes?

Tom already said it was pascals idea to do that stupid venom 2 scene. It definitely doesn’t seem like they cleared it with Fiege. Then Fiege throws them right back out.

Besides that, morbius was supposed to come out first but it got delayed. The vulture cameo was probably her first attempt to force her way into the universe. Then the movie got delayed and she did the venom thing. Now Fiege has kicked her out and guess what? Keaton is doing reshoots for his scenes in morbius. I’m very interested to see what that scene is now because the universes are definitely split and that wasn’t the impression we got in the trailer.

personally I hope they double down because that would be hilarious.
Still on this? Really don’t want Sony to mess up the mcu huh? Well they are obviously planning something and even it wasn’t Spider-Man vs venom the symbiote is now in the mcu so it wasn’t all for nothing .

Man, the MCU storyteller is Kevin Feige, the director(when he only direct a movie) in an extremely general way just makes the script become images, it's his job to convey emotions to the viewer, and in NWH the nostalgic stuff takes all the credit.

The scripts once again were from Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, which are full of plotholes that makes the after movie discussion a bad thing to do, as you start to realize them, example: Edith glasses and Mysterio drones and the whole "forgething spell".

Watts is the worst director of the MCU. You only need to compare how different Multiverse of Madness teaser looks visually from NWH.

Ah, interesting. Thanks for sharing...although if that's the case, why is Amy still so heavily involved in all the Spider-Man films?

C’mon with the numbers this is blowing up in the box office opening weekend .

How can HT not give us the Spideys we want

Dude give it up. You’re a total hype boy who ate up everything Sony **** out. You spread your fanboyism like it’s facts on every post.

You really think the “plan” was for Sony to introduce venom in a very awkward scene where Tom Holland stands in front of cameras right after he’s outed looking shifty eyed (which didn’t even happen and suggest no collaboration between studios) and then venom doesn’t appear in the movie at all (again, no sign of collaboration) and is immediately spit back out (Fiege pushing back against pascal), leaving a piece of the symbiote. The symbiote piece staying makes no sense other than for Fiege to stop Sony from trying to force their **** onto them.

But all you saw is “wow Tom Hardy’s venom is in the mcu.” There’s no indication of what is going to happen with Spiderman moving forward. The most recent reports suggest that they’re actually still negotiating a path forward but I know from previous conversations that you are not aware of these news reports but you still speak as if you are informed.
I shouldn’t have even tried to explain it to you again. I’ve done it a million times already. I’m just not going to respond. It’s not good for my health lol.

It seems as though her latest stunt with venom 2 might have finally made Sony take a look at how she’s been managing. She’s been around a long time though, so that’s probably why they don’t just toss her out.

For reference, Avi Arad is another guy they let stick around wayyy too long. He’s a big reason why Spiderman 3+ films didn’t go well. Pascal was there too if I recall.

If I had to guess, she's been around long enough to know where some skeletons are buried, so they let her stay but removed her ability to damage their cash cow too much.

Yeah, Avi is a whole different ballgame. From the sounds of things he's said himself, he just had a different opinion of how the things should go creatively that wasn't in line with the MCU vision, but since there probably wouldn't even BE a Marvel anymore if it weren't for Avi and his actions in the 90's, so his contributions are viewed a little differently.

Lol huh? I hate Sony . Wtf are you talking about kid. You seem really upset that vebom was in the mcu for a short period of time or was about to be. Like chill dude. If he was so what? Lol. Your perfect mcu won’t suffer from it. The symbiote is in the mcu now so all that whining wasn’t for anything . Stop your crying. You don’t know anything about what’s going to happen so maybe stop bitching about Sony on every post. You speak as you know what feige said like you were in the room serving them coffee. I hate Sony and avi arad as much as the next guy but you don’t see me crying about how they ruined venom on every post. If venom is in the mcu big deal , if not I could care less. They set up the symbiote. And your big scary Sony venom isn’t in the mcu. You can sleep comfortably. Lol.

I actually had the opposite occur. I had no interest in this suit but I'd like to do a trio standing there ready to do battle. This is the suit for that...
This is exactly what I'll be doing. If Hot Toys take some crazy pills and don't make TM and AG, then I'll need the Integrated Suit to go with my Spider-Man 3 Tobey Maguire figure and I'll have to buy the existing Garfield Amazing Spider-Man 2 figure.

Do any of you guys think the Venom from the MCU will be Mac Gargan(Scorpion) from Homecoming instead of Brock?

That original figure is pretty outdated. The body is horrible and Garfield is clearly bigger than the other two but the figure is really undersized. They have to make a new one. There’s no way around it.

It's possible. Michael Mando, the actor that played Gargan in Homecoming, isn't a complete unknown. It might be a good way to tell separate stories with Eddie Brock and Spider-Man....and then maybe bring it back together at the end when Tom Hardy reclaims it somehow.

I'd rather they do a traditional Scorpion and Shocker. Both sucked in Homecoming. A Deadpool 2 Juggernaut-like Rhino would be nice too. I really think we will see a Black Cat in the next trilogy whoever is making it. Rothman did reveal that there was a give back as in Sony got Strange in this one and Sony gave an unnamed character in return. Thought that was interesting.

Original Scorpion and Original Shocker is the only way to go

There was a Scorpion in Homecoming? I remember the guys playing Shocker #1 and Shocker #2, but not a Scorpion.
