Just sucks that we can't get this stuff out of the way for the good stuff like F4 and Xmen. Pushes it all back. I really wanted to see DS2 and The Batman within 2 weeks.
Yeah, can’t say I’m looking forward to any of this stuff. I was looking forward to DS2 until I actually read more about it; DS is one of my favorite MCU movies.

Mine too. Dont see many ever talking about it but it does introduce the multiverse and a lot of referencing to it. I hope it is really good.

I love the Eastern mysticism and just the fact it was pretty unique among MCU movies. I also really like Cumberbund as DS. I only saw it within the last couple of years, but instantly loved it - I’m not the biggest MCU fan; I really only like IM, CA:WS, GotG, DS and the Winter Soldier escape/chase scene part in Civil War. IW was cool/ok, but I rewatched EG for the first time since the theater and man that was bad LOL. Was REALLY disappointed by Falcon and Winter Soldier, couldn’t make it past the first episode or two.

You should have stuck it out to the end. Here's the abridged version of Sam's speech at the end, lol.

Made me LOL. But yeah, I got the rundown from all the gushing and complaining on here and Instagram. I guess by the time it came out, I was more than tired of the lecturing and certainly didn’t need or want it in my escapism comic book media.

We have pretty much the same taste. Only thing I would have liked better in DS was how he got to find Kathmandu. Word of mouth was kind of odd with just random people but oh well.

Well, someone’s getting in shape…

LOL I said the same thing to my dad when we watched it, but like you said, oh well, didn’t lessen the enjoyment.

Maybe with a good haircut and suit it could work. Guy certainly changed from his extremelly dorky days. And hey, he is tall.

I still wish they'd gone with Nikolaj or something, but the verdict's still not out I guess.

Btw there is a Disney+ celebration on Nov. 12 and Marvel will talk about its D+ shows plus a look towards the future. Hopefully that includes MCU movies and not just shows.

Man, it’s crazy to see the how many timeless popular characters are passed over for the goobers featured in these movies and shows.

Why would I wanna see Scarlet Witch and America Ferrera as main characters and plot points in a DS2 “horror movie” over some Midnight Sons-type story? Am I out of touch and people are clamoring for this stuff?

IMO, the 616 started to suffer when cameos within solo books graduated to full saturation within every issue. Rather than focusing on individual narrative to develop characters, stories fully embraced the "comic soap opera" with the continual presence of multiple characters/teams; escalating crisis and further diluting character arcs.

I think that relying on this trend has hurt storytelling within the comics and it doesn't appear to be slowing down with the MCU either (e.g. DS2).

I agree on America Chavez, but what’s the problem with Wanda? She’s one of the most classic Marvel characters. If you’re making a Doctor Strange story with Chthon then she fits. You can’t really go “**** yeah bro, give me those big ass names, the Midnight Sons, like Satana and Frank Drake man” and also “lmao Red Witch or whatever, who’s that”. Preference is another thing and entirely subjective, but Wanda has been a core Avenger and magic user in Marvel since forever. If we’re talking about visibility, her place in MoM is logical. I liked the Midnight Sons back in the day (my internet in that genre has waned the last few years), but their type of horror is different than the direction MoM is going with. They’re taking on devils and vampires in 90s urban areas. Sure, Strange battles Vampires all the time, but when you go into Elder Gods and Multiversal Scale, magicians and reality warpers come into play, not monster hunters and the such.

I do agree with Chavez though, she’s a pretty awful, needless character. Ewing’s version wasn’t that bad, but MCU America will be some bratty kid, so we’re not even getting booty…

For the sake of diversity!

Who would not want a Ghost Rider in this movie?

Hence why I have cut myself off of comics. Tired of their ****. I think the worst role in comics is editors. Let the talent write and create. If the writer F's up, then it is all on him.

If Feige does enough of what they are doing now, MCU is toast. He did state in an interview that they are back to building the next stage of the MCU. People keep eating it up, but it certainly tastes like a lot more fluff than stuff of substance. Like Iron Man 2.

Got to build out that Avengers teen team.

I agree. I’m tired of all these no name characters like Shang chi, eternals and America whomever. Let’s focus on the characters that made marvel marvel. Not z list losers who nobody knew about til now. Where is the push for ghost rider, a better Luke cage, the freaking mutants.
Could care less about these guys
