You know they pose, right? :lol

Only kidding, but yeah it does look great. Can't bring myself to pull the trigger though.

Yeah I know, I know :lol I must admit I feel apprehensive posing these figures, especially if they're NIB and of course minding the amount we invest in them. I know they certainly can take it, since I bought a loose WW figure for a bargain and I felt more "free" to pose it around, I pushed the articulation to its limits and it's still holding up. I probably wouldn't have posed the WW figure around if I had bought it brand new and for full price. Though for me personally, just seeing them standing there with all their immaculate detail and presence is good enough.

He looks AWESOME Zurdo!!!!

I love the emblem on his chest and the different textures on that suit. As I said before I never get tired of looking at this figure. Hot Toys did a fabulous job with this figure no doubt. My only quibble with this figure is that the arms are a bit too long in my opinion, but other than that I think it is nearly perfect.

As far as posing him, the suit is more forgiving than it would seem and does seem to revert back to its original shape quite quickly, however I understand the concerning of going to far with figures like this.

Seeing the 2099 figure next to that Arkham Knight Batman (beautiful figure) reminds me how big that AKB is.

Very much agreed!!

Yeah the AKB is a monster! It's so cool seeing these video game figures juxtaposed (despite me not playing VGs lol)

I feel like a lot of folks slept on that/those AK bats. I remember snagging the norm off of eBay right before the first release disappeared because of a bit of a feeling I'd miss out, but was so pleasantly surprised. He's currently my only batman on display. Space, not choice.

Same here I picked up the Arkham Knight Batman and the Red Hood, they look great together. They are the only DC character figures I own. I’m glad I got them when I did!

Yeah the AKB is probably one of my most favorite Batsuit designs.

Yeah, it is gorgeous. I love how the blue and red look on this costume, the colors are so deep.

I also, enjoy how the costume picks up the light, so interesting!

Yeah undoubtedly!! I'm amazed at all the textures on the costume, and the switch out inner hand pieces are a cool feature.

I am still confused about the "Black Suit" naming on this guy... just seems weird that they even bothered to add that,..
Re: Spider-Man-1/6th scale Spider-Man (Spider-Man 2099 Black) - Toy Fair Exclusive
It's titled the "black suit" in the game, that's likely the only reason HT also named it that.
Re: Spider-Man-1/6th scale Spider-Man (Spider-Man 2099 Black) - Toy Fair Exclusive
Because it?s based on the game, and that?s how it?s described in the game.
Re: Spider-Man-1/6th scale Spider-Man (Spider-Man 2099 Black) - Toy Fair Exclusive
I remember from the early issues of the comic series characters would say he was ?dressed in black?. Maybe it?s a callback to that as well?

Yeah it's nod to the original comic version which was in fact supposed to represent a black suit, despite all the blue.
Throughout his first appearance origin arc the first main antagonist repeatedly refers to his costume as black.
And Miguel even refers to it as black.....

"The 1/6th scale Spider-Man (Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit) Collectible Figure specially features...

Costume :
- One (1) newly developed metallic blue and red colored Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit"

So in comic parlance, you are somehow looking at a black suit.

He is fantastic, and I do prefer the darker blue, to the usual electric blue, those still wondering how this is the supposed represent a "Black Suit" version when it's still blue?
It is a fascinating and bizarre nuance of the genre, when developers and fandom can all just knowingly agree to perpetuate something they know is innately wrong, and accommodate even things as contrary as the description above.

Of course that's nothing new or surprising in the world of comics, going back to Batman who originally was obviously meant to be Grey and Black, although to illustrate what were suposed to be highlighted(shiny) black parts on the black, they just used blue (see Superman's hair too) , yet those highlights in some costumes quickly came to be default interpreted as all blue. Same for Spider-Man who was originally meant to be black and red, yet the blue soon came to bee seen as the default.

This trend just continued with Spider-Man 2099 whose costume is conically black, yet interpreted as blue .

EG in the cover, all three Spider-Man(Peter) Spider-Man 2009(Miguel) and Venom, all use the same coloring highlight.
Yet nobody then models Venom in Blue.

I do prefer it when his suit is rendered closer to black. with the comic blue just to indicate highlights.
His original Whose Who entry ...

I'd love to see the "Black Suit" actually done in Black.
Also agree with many they should have included a cape/web-wings element.

Also I recognize this is the game version, yet after Óscar Isaac Hernández voiced Miguel O’Hara in the Spider-Verse post credit scene, anyone else wish we had a 1/6 Poe Dameron figure, to just swap heads with for a removable mask portrait.

Is this the game it's taken from, cause it does actually look black there?

Or is it just lighting?
If not, wish it had been.

I modeled a custom cape with plans to 3D print it in flexible filament but the model still needed some modifications and I still haven't gotten around to making them yet
if i find the time maybe ill have to dive back in someday soon
