Wait, what do you mean? He was overpowered BY the Dark Trooper and barely survived the encounter, then he fought and defeated Gideon - someone who isn't exactly a front line soldier. And once he was disarmed, you knew Gideon was most likely to resort to deceit to try to turn the tables.

It was a win win for Gideon. He either killed Din and stole away with Grogu or Din bested him and Bo Katarn's plans were ruined (plus he knew that the Dark Troopers would come back).

Which character did they get wrong?

I saw pure perfection in Luke and I liked the fact that Fett honored his Mando word but also is clearly going back to the underworld to be the new kingpin in place of Jabba. So he's got some honor but he's still got that bad a$$ in him. And Fennic is just awesome!

Fett was completely ruined.

Absolutely horrible just horrible.

My Fett doesn't need Mulan doing his dirty work for him when he arrives at a job.

My Fett doesn't honor commitments he only has double crosses and only honors himself.

My Fett doesn't say "Just be safe" unless he is double crossing.

He could've had his way with the Mando mission and still went and claimed his new throne at the end.

I don't even care that he's fat and has a stupid New Zealand accent. The Boba Fett armor looks so freaking damned cool with that matte paint job and black robe underneath. I need figures of it yesterday.

Well, other than Gideon saying the word "ORDER" and winking into the camera, there's no reason that this story has to lead into the **** trilogy. I watched this as an incredibly satisfied viewer finally getting to see the post-ROTJ Luke I always wanted to see. And boba Fett too. This could be the coda to ROTJ for me and I could stop right here and be perfectly satisfied.

And am I nuts or did the Slave 1 and the Imperial Shuttle and the TIES all just look freaking amazing??

Even the Death Troopers looked better and more menacing than the pure cheese they were in their first episode.

Yes, I found that incredibly satisfying as well. But it also served as a reminder that Lucas was the real culprit by not releasing his ST in the PT time frame. But then again, I doubt that his version 20 years ago would have given us something this well executed, so maybe some ST haters will come to view it as a blessing in disguise.

That whole session from tiny mandalorian taking Boba Fett down and smack talking him made me gringe.

The girl power avengers style assault on the ship didn't bother me whatsoever at least it was well executed but that tiny mandalorian trash talking Fett GTFO of here with that nonsense lol

Thank the maker they included the really big surprise that SAVED ME from all of that Fett misery and left me crying in joy.

For 37 years I believed that Bib Fortuna died. Today for a span of 1 minute he was alive. Then died again. Don's do that!! Also if your not going to make the Gammorean Gaurds big and fat.......don't use them.

And what happened to the guy Mandalorian that didn't even get any lines in that episode, if I remember correctly? Guess he was killed offscreen. I know they wanted their GIRRRRLLL POWER raid on the Star Destroyer, but that guy set off my gaydar, so I think he could still have been in the scene and it would count as "inclusive" to Disney's LGBTQ+ quota.

Really surprised they didn't have him in the scene just to get killed, to be honest. They needed to up the stakes a bit and that guy is completely expendable.

I thought "whoa cool, Gideon just totally killed one of those female Mandos!" but then, nope, she's fine. 6 or 7 laser blasts, no biggie.

The girl power thing while obvious I thought was handled organically and as natural as possible it flowed well enough with very good execution so it worked for me with only minor eye roll lol

Fett and Slave 1 looked great shame he was more gay than that mando guy.

Essentially F & F gave a certain group of fans the badass Luke they didn't get in TLJ.

Like they can't fix the ST but they are doing what they can.

For me tho, this is Mando's show. Not Boba's or Luke's or Ezra Bridger or Ahsoka, no matter how much Filoni fan service stuffing has gone on. Which I still feel dubious about.

But this show and last episode really honed in on re-forging Din D'jarin (his arc), plenty of badassery, and it's interesting place to end up - this
"Child of the Watch" now has the Darksaber, tho I question based on some other canon why he can't just gift the sword.

Also, tho not a fan of de-aging, at that point in time re the scene, it really did need to be Hamill as Luke - if they were gonna go there.

Don't care about the female-heaviness; this is how it's done - where u don't make a big deal about it. Cara knocking out Moff Gideon LOL.

Figure Season 3 is gonna be Death Watch heavy and hopefully lead to retaking Mandalore. Fennec is badass - there's another 250$ figure

Appreciate they even changed the music after Grogu and Mando - I needed that after getting gutted. Also the Boba credit scene.

That was some of the most awesome AND most infuriating SW that I could have asked for.

I kid you not when the X-Wing showed up I felt the hate swelling in me as I anticipated another Filoni cameo. I am NOT kidding, lol. So imagine the turn around at the actual reveal!

As for the infuriating I liked everything about Fett except for his one showdown ARE YOU KIDDING ME. WHY????? Seriously WHY?????? Of all the two-bit nobody characters for him to spar with and lose, WHY HER?!???? Not Mando, not Bo Katan, not even Cara. SOME STUPID LACKEY CHICK WHO DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A NAME?!?!? FAVREAU DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU'VE DONE HERE? Well I'm going to see that that nail you right to the wall here. RIGHT TO THE WALL.

So let stormtroopers storm they are serving their purpose.
