Imo the headsculpt while not perfect it still looks insanely good. My main problem and this is why I passed on it is the fake leather. It just not worth the price when it will rot away in a few years. Very sad because I wanted this so badly.

I love Arnold and I really like the terminator saga, when i finally saw a 1:2 terminator i was having a heart attack :D
It is also almost sold out, so it will also be very easy to resell it, if I really don't like it at all.

I don't think it's perfect, but I do think it's more than acceptable. If they improve it further however then that'd obviously be great. Only the price stopped me from getting this...

There are no perfect pieces, we will always find some defects.
The sculpt for me is good, but I hope it gets improved a little more. The only thing I don't like is the position of the legs.

For the price I understand it's high, but the normal version it's perfectly in line with the last 1:2

Was it Queen studio that started the silicone and pushed the insane price.

No, If im correct then it was CM. They first brought out thier 1/3 scale Arnie T-850 followed by other Silicone characters.

I guess I'm that moron who is willing to get this.

I for one, am a sucker to when it comes to Terminator. I love this peice! and I dont see anything off or wrong with it.

I don't plan on getting this but overall I think it's a very good piece. I think they've captured the battle damaged portrait quite well, looks realistic, believable and as detailed in comparison to 1:1 scale of similar statues. Plus it's slightly oversized so it'll have huge presence.

It'll be a good buy FDS, not many options in this range for a good 1/2 T1 Arnie. Going to keep an eye on this one, I think it'll be a slow burner and catch everyone by surprise when released (in a good way).

Can't wait for it to be released, just hope it doesnt take as long as the Endo did.

I did'nt bother with the Deluxe Version it looks brill, but dont think it goes with the pose it is in. Also damage around body wouldnt go with the damage on face. Also Much pricer.

Silicone isn?t that expensive at all. They?re just charging a ridiculous price because they know there?s some morons out there willing to pay it.

Do you really have to insult people who buy this statue by calling them morons?

Folks in this very thread preordered it. That’s kinda rude, friend.

I have issues with the statue as well. It’s under-scaled for one thing. Looking at it next to the Endoskeleton. How in the hell does the Endo fit inside Arnold? The likeness is a bit off. I don’t trust silicone. And has a faux leather jacket instead of the real thing. But if someone buys it, I’m not going to refer to them as morons. More power to them. That’s all.

:lol My post really offended you that much? I was more so referring to the people that are justifying the costs by saying it’s because of the silicone. That is moronic. Silicone isn’t that expensive, especially with how little is actually being used.

In that case, I'm offended. :lol

I was defending the others, lol. It’s all good, man. But yeah, that thing is overpriced and likeness off.

And yes, your silicone part is on point. Why not use polystone (or even hard resin) like the rest of the statues?

WHat is the benefit of silicone? Likeness of actors?

And sadly this trend is getting worse and worse. Soon even the small Kotobukiya pieces will be ridiculously expensive. It is getting harder and harder to balance things out money wise. I have 3 P1 pieces already paid. The endo and the jungle and city hunter. From now on I will cutting back big time money wise with a lot cheaper statues and figures. The hobby changed way too much for me in the last years and for the worse. While there are beautiful pieces out there, the prices became ridiculously high.

I don't think anybody in their right mind will pay 3000 dollar + taxes etc. for this stuff which will root away after a few years.

Yeah these pieces are way out of my price range, recently bought the sideshow version of this arround 550, think thats my level on the collection I can get, since I collect 1/4 scale, easier to display and afford

Got bored so I did a little Photoshop edit. I follow the artist who sculpted the head on this and he's nailed Arnold before, so I don't think the sculpt itself is what's messing with the likeness.

-Looks to me like they punched the hairline wrong, which makes the forehead appear too small and the face too wide.

-The length of some of the hairs also felt off.

-Checking the film reference, his Gargoyles ought to be shorter on the vertical, longer on the horizontal; in other words, they should cover less of the forehead above the brow and cover more of the sides of the face.

That's basically all I changed, left the sculpt alone.
