While I generally prefer sculpted hair, there are a few figures that I like the rooted hair on. Most of the Black Widow's look really good with some futzing, I think because of the red color and the sheen that you get off he rooted hair. Sculpted would've been better on Infinity War Widow as that style just didn't translate to 1/6 scale.

I prefer rooted hair but it cant just be one color. That's why the iw version looks so bad. Sculpted hair looks like a messy blob usually. This short style with ponytail makes more sense sculpted.

Rooted hair sucks, it never looks good. Rooted hair on previous BW, WW against sculpted hair on HQ or this for example. It's obvious which is far superior looking.

I think the only BW figure that really needed rooted hair was CW. All the rest would have looked lightyears better with sculpted hair that actually captured the hairstyles she had on screen.

the im 2 bw would have been terrible with sculpted hair unless you don't want to turn her head.

True, although I usually disregard that one anyway since it looks so little like her and has the totally wrong proportions.

I hate long sculpted hair; I want to be able to move the neck of the figure and have it actually move or have it not sit floating up in the air. I'm semi-dreading getting Qui-Gon Jin for that reason.

Throw in the fact that the pointy strands of hair can also claw out the fabric on the costume. My TLJ Rey is an utter bugger for that.

She looks wonderful but knowing there?ll be other black widow figures coming using the same sculpt, I am confused what to get since I only get one figure each. But this Bw looks awesome with hawkeye which I didn?t get either.

Ha yeah they sculpted her hair in the worst possible way for that outfit.

*Shrug* Think my SWs and BWs are great. I don't have a problem futzing with hair - it's not real hair anyway. It's fiber. More fine work, no different than futzing with small rifle straps, replacing 2mm studs, assembling tiny chains.

Just get a nail or a bamboo skewer and push into place. Smooth down any frizz. Other people do more.

Anyway this Widow is a nice fig but for me there's a not-great effect with the plastic hair, and happy to wait to see what solo movie brings$$$$

Yeah, add Roadworn Thor to that. U have to be real careful with the cape.

There are at least two more figures of her coming, but a grinning scarlet jo may suit well next to a grinning paul rudd, so I?ll take it lol

She looks really good, but I think I will wait and see what they release from the solo movie

It would help if the braided length of hair had a wire in it. It could look good formed with a drape on the shoulder. Also seems like the tip lost some of the white hair in production. Less pronounced than the prototype was.
