Re: The Terminator : T-800 (Police Station Shootout) 1:2

Thanks for those. Damn good busts. The heads are maybe tilted a too far back at the top compared to the pic I'm using but I've saved them anyway. I'm trying to suss out what has happened as he has aged and exactly how to dial back the clock to 1984 and 1991 on that single drawing.

Re: The Terminator : T-800 (Police Station Shootout) 1:2

I think P1 is trying to compete on the level of Cinemaquette where they had 3D laser scans of Arnold from T3. they should be using the life casted busts from the likes of Godaiking and Rjszar to reproduce the same level of quality at half scale.

Aren't those life size casts from T3 as well? Using a T3 reference for The Terminator would be a step in the wrong direction.

Re: The Terminator : T-800 (Police Station Shootout) 1:2

You're really going to keep this up? Seriously? The SS premium format is far superior in likeness to Arnold at 1/4 scale than this is at 1/2 scale. This should be dead on and not just look like a stunt double at 1/2 scale. I don't need glasses. I'm surrounded in my house by stuff that is actually good. These are my life size Terminators and this is what Arnold SHOULD look like.

Don't get me wrong those are really cool, but you can tell those casts were taken/modified from T3.

Yes, you are correct, but they certainly do a better job representing Arnold than this P1 statue.

I can try and take a picture tomorrow with the bust more level. That's just the way it naturally sits without any support.

That'd be cool, thanks.

I didn't realize these were based on T3 casts actually. You work with what you have to work with though. I presume they couldn't get anything from the T1 era.

Re: The Terminator : T-800 (Police Station Shootout) 1:2

it has MMS136 ugly boots and yellow pants, silver buttons on the jacket instead of black and superstupidly positioned SPAS-12, so no movie reference from the start, and people worry it has little face featurers wrong :dunno

Re: The Terminator : T-800 (Police Station Shootout) 1:2

You're saying it's all crap so who cares about fixing the face?

I mentioned the pants earlier today

i dunno, maybe. everything except for the face is just a very lazy job the more i look at it.
the face, on the other hand, is a piece of art by itself, though it definitely needs a lot of rework in terms of shapes, like people said here numerously, to make it look more like Schwarzenegger and less like Bebop.

sorry, tried not to read anything to avoid saying anything. did you also mention that they put giant HT thighs into those yellow HT pants to complete the ensemble started by HT boots?

Re: The Terminator : T-800 (Police Station Shootout) 1:2

:lol :lol

Bebop! That's perfect. The wide face and short forehead

And no I didn't mention those other things. Not sure the boots are quite as ugly as the MMS136 ones though. These look a bit more like the older MMS02 boots to me. I noticed the weird way that he's gripping the shotgun but didn't bring up as I assume that's adjustable.

Re: The Terminator : T-800 (Police Station Shootout) 1:2

It's a shame this is going to be silicone. I understand that appeals to a lot of folks for its realism but from what I've read It can also be a nightmare to deal with, especially because of its delicacy and short life span.

Re: The Terminator : T-800 (Police Station Shootout) 1:2

Maybe they've put a full T-800 endoskeleton underneath for authenticity when it degrades.

Re: The Terminator : T-800 (Police Station Shootout) 1:2

It does look better in the new pics, but probably not enough to justify what prime 1 will charge for this (you know it's going to be very expensive). For that sort of money and at this size, it really needs to be spot on.

If they fix it, I'll probably buckle and order my first 1:2 scale piece. If not, then I'll stick with the Sideshow PF.

They should for the price they'll be asking. :lol

Re: The Terminator : T-800 (Police Station Shootout) 1:2

Well here's one thing that I feel improves it, at least from the following angle
