yeah, i hate joints too. was gonna get the Kurgan to go w/ Highlander but that nasty arm is hanging out w/o a sleeve. the old Big Jims and 6 Million Dollar Man tried out skin. didn't work well in the long run but today u'd think there'd be someway to pull it off. they can do some incredible stuff w/ latex...

as for slowing the degradation of the soft figs. maybe a case like this'll help?

I don't have any problems with exposed joints. I'd rather have well designed bodies with exposed joints then well designed bodies with soft skin covered bodies.
I actually prefer the new Hot Toys female body with the exposed joints over the one that was previewed early on with Vasquez. It seams like a nice body design that combines the soft curves of a Cy Girl, with a thinner more realistic body type, and the great articulation design of the new Hot Toys male basic body.

I wish they'd make the sleeves just that little bit longer to cover the wrist joints.

As an option for a skin they could include various sized rubber/silicon/whatever tubes that you can roll on and cut to size. Then if they ever broke down you could just replace them easily, and you could still get access if you have joint problems. Maybe it wouldnt hide the shoulder joint, but not all exposed joints include the shoulder, and those that dont like the idea could just discard the tube if they so desired.

Hmm, I wonder if Sideshow would have to use the disclaimer "Warning- these Latex sleeves are not intended to be used as a contraceptive device."LOL.
