The Zurg is a Thinkway Toy. i know this for a fact. It is probably as close as we will ever get to a correct size Zurg.

Where did u get your info, care to enlighten us?

Slink, I don't think he can get too specific, but if memory serves her works at some kind of packaging plant? I might have that completely wrong, but he is reputable so I believe him.

Van, can you say if this is the final version of the figure? Any other info at all?

While I don't think it necessarily means that we are going to be getting new figures quite yet, I did happen to notice something very interesting at my local ToysRUs tonight. I was looking at the Toy Story section, and they still have plenty of Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and a few Bullseyes, but the Woody's that they had were different. They had recently sold through all of the Woody's that they had with the white logo about 2 weeks ago, and I was sad because I figured that they wouldn't be getting any more in.

Well, when I was there tonight, they had about 5 of them on the shelf, but they all had this new gold starry logo that said "Toy Story Signature Collection" on it. Now I already have Woody, but I've been looking at getting another to keep in the box, as well as some of the others, for when I have kids, and this new logo looks really spiffy and makes the item seem a little higher end to me, but cosmetics aside, that means 2 things. One, they're still shipping items from the TSC line to stores when replenishment orders are placed, and two, they have updated not only the logo, but the line name as well, so it could be an indication that they are looking at keeping the line fresh with the possibility of new additions.

I didn't check the Bucket at TRU to see if it was the new logo, so I'm not sure how widespread this is yet, but it's definitely an interesting new development to stimulate some discussion on this wonderful line of toys.

Interesting news. I hope there's more TSC to come, I love what I've gotten so far, but there are a few noticeable exclusions that I'd love to rectify.

Also, anymore news on that Zurg? Is it a DS exclusive or something?

Nothing new on zurg. But the other toys he was shown with, ie the articulated jaw'd rex and that new buzz have been released, leading some to think Zurg could show up on Disney store's site any day now. Now one knows for sure when though so just keep an eye out.

Hello all, new to the forums here. I was calling around to different Disney Stores in my area (trying to find a TSC Buttercup)... went ahead and asked about any new "Full Sized" Zurg & found out that there will be a "combo pack" with Buzz & Zurg and another with Woody & Lotso (supposedly full size figures, so the D.S. employee says). The Disney Store guy said it will be released on Monday but they haven't rcv'd anything physically in the store yet. I have never seen scale figures sold in pairs, so that lends me to believe the guy is mistaken... don't get mad at me if I'm wrong but I thought I'd share.

It was initially assumed to be inaccurate, but now the woody & Lotso combo has surfaced leaving us to believe the info is true afterall. So It sounds like Zurg will be part of a Buzz combo. Perhaps a way of inflating the price and making zurg an easier sell to the masses? I wasn't really looking to pay TSC prices for a non TSC item, but hey at least it looks like this zurg is still happening at all. I plan on selling the buzz later.

I have one of the originals thinkways toys, from the very first batch, with the flip up communicator. With Tim Allens voice.

"Buzz Lightyear to Star Command... why don't they answer?"

Love it. Even if the dog did get to it and chew one of the wings a bit.

The scale pic next to the child look like they could be the right scale. Lookin' forward to seeing it in person!

$50 for two figures is a great deal but it's made by Disney so no extra licensing fees.

Got my Zurg and Buzz today, with the Black Friday deals, I paid only $34 for the set!!!

I love him. He isn't perfect, but still great. I had also picked up the Woody/Lotso set. IMO, the Disney Store Lotso blows the Thinkway version away. He's great!

Big Baby will be interesting to see what people do to mess it up like it is in the movie. Really interesting.


And I don't know if any of you follow Lee Unkrich's twitter (director of Toy Story 3) but he revealed a few 3D reproductions direct from the original Pixar data. Sound familiar? Well... it's because Thinkway has boasted the same thing. But these look way better!

Man I want that buzz more than words can say. Did these ever come about to buy?

It's a Rex that has a moving jaw. I wonder how big it is.

That Rex is full scale. I still prefer the Thinkway version though. The sculpt isnt as good, the scales are all wrong.


I got Zurg (combo version) for Christmas.

Not sure how much the single goes for, but it has to be cheaper than that auction.

They will not be painted as they will be printed with a 3D printer. But let me know who would like a pair ^_^
