I am not a big fan of flashbacks either. It is ok in the beginning of a series - like WD did for S1 and the first half of S2, but we have been following these characters for quite some time now and don't need continual flashbacks for every character. Maybe I can see using it for new characters, like Michonne and The Governor, but only if it is going to be relevant to the current storyline, otherwise it is just filler.
