That IMO would be beyond ridiculous. Talk about convoluted plots. :slap Unless they're planning on introducing Thrawn as someone making his own power play (separate of the Empire and Gideon) this would make no sense. And BF wouldn't be doing it for a bounty because Gideon was the one paying it.

Someone has to start the FO.

Lol, I fear we might be going full SNIKT with our Vampire Fett theories and setting ourselves up for disappointment so I'll try and prepare myself for him to just be honoring his word to protect Grogu and then be pleasantly surprised (no, pleasantly ECSTATIC) if they do otherwise.

One thing about this latest episode that I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around is why that secret mining base had so many troopers just sitting around at the complex instead of actually guarding the Juggernauts while they were en route with their super valuable high explosive cargo.

I wouldn't. I'd be irritated. Because, IMO, Moff Gideon is being played by a stellar actor, but if you're gonna establish a new villain you need to spend some time with him. Like Rebels does with Thrawn. We get an idea of how Thrawn operates and his motivations (remember some line about how he didn't care about glory, only what benefited his Emperor).

Right now I know Gideon is a sadistic *&&^$, intelligent and ruthless, and that's about it. He seems to have a vision, but unclear for what. Also Gideon hiring Boba is too much Vader hiring Boba = rehash:pfft:.

Re the base - reminded me of a castle/moat. If u send all your troops out, then u run the risk of having them ambushed in that terrain, trying to get back over a narrow bridge. Which would remove your guard from the main facility. So u cut your losses and sacrifice some of your haul.

Yeah, you and jye have to stop getting my hopes up for a Fett turn. I'll be all amped up for Friday and then get Fett going goo-goo for Grogu.

Then they'll bring Favreau's Paz Vizsla to join Din and Boba, and next season will be "Three Mandos and a Baby." :gah:

Did you watch the stormtroopers in last's week's episode? The transports this week were safer without them around. Not having stormtrooper escort for super valuable high explosive cargo was probably the smartest thing the Empire has done all season. :lol

I am crying

Yup I said that.

Still think so.

Theory makes sense. I didn't read it a week ago but similar idea occurred to me about Fett stalking Mando for Gideon.

Also, maybe Gideon needs Mando. Maybe he wants to make a new clone army with Mando. Thus fitting to have Fett bring him this prize.

Also, maybe Grogu's special powers can more easily transfer to a being that Grogu is so connected to. Gideon's super Force Troopers.

Yes, I got the same vibe. Plus these remnants of the Empire are supposedly trying to operate in secrecy to avoid getting on the New Republic's radar, so they probably are trying to avoid major confrontations outside the generic walls of the refinery. So if Filoni is doing a fly by in his X-wing nothing about it would appear suspicious. :lol

Now that's the first BF double-cross theory I've heard that has any merit. Of course there's still the BF killing dozens of Gideon's troopers part that doesn't quite support it, unless Gideon is SO cold that he's fine with it as long as he gets his ultimate prize. Actually, that would just cement Gideon's status as an evil villain.

Maybe Gideon sent the Troopers in too early last episode. They got between Fett and his armor so he said **** it and wiped them out. He realized that the ones fleeing in the transports would undoubtedly report Fett's treachery so he obliterated them too to cover his tracks.

Works for me! :duff

Since it seemed the cargo was made all the more volatile by movement, why in a galaxy where even a teenage farmer has a hovering land speeder, did they need to use wheeled vehicles?

Might as well have been having PogoTroopers hand deliver it.

SW has never made a lick of sense isn't it wonderful :yess:

At least they had troop support at the front gate.

LOLOLOL.

All I know is the redemption arc has been done to death. SW needs more bad guys.....really bad guys

Hell I was so happy that episode to see a Imperial officer, who was total Nazi obsessed with the righteous Empire.

That guy was the best part of last episode.

A connection between Fett and Gideon has enough foundation to make it possible.

As much as I'd like to forget that Boba Fett is a clone, that history is clearly part of the TM Fett package. So, given Gideon's efforts with cloning - and given that his scientists have patches on their arms similar to the ones we see in AOTC Kamino - there's definitely room for a Gideon/Fett storyline.

It might not mean working together, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Gideon is on Kamino and Fett is going to fly the Mandovengers back to his "home." What they do with that - and it can go any number of directions (ranging from good to terrible) - will cement Fett's fate and the direction of his character.

Any excuse to send pirates underneath massive rubber tires works for me, lol.

Man that first Shoretrooper who witnessed the murder and just stood there holding his drink tray until he too got blown away. That was borderline disturbing, lol.

Yep like the one face scanner in the history of SW conveniently placed in front of the one guy in the galaxy who doesn't want to show his face, lol.

lol

I was hoping the scanner would say This is the way lol

They also certainly lucked out that the commander took them to a part of the building for their drinks facing Cara and Mulan and that when Burr decided to go psycho and make a stand they were at an additional 400 feet up in the air where the snipers could help them.

Thank the maker for windows.

We need something called THE DUMB REPORT... and each week we can add to the SW Galaxy's long list of illogic and nonsense.
