The one in the box does look different to the one in the pics, and the coat isn't even weathered.
I cant drop cash on a figure that may, or may not turn out okay. I'd rather risk my money buying some more crypto

Somehow the sculpt makes Stallone look old but young at the same time. It's weird. Something is off but I don't know what it is.

Wow, I've missed important things here! The price is more or less what I expected but, if this figure is not offered in other stores with a regular preorder system, I will pass on it. Maybe I would go crazy enough to import it if it were the best Rambo figure ever made, but it's not. In a few months TZ will present a new FB figure with two iconic looks, much more than this one imho, and for a much more reasonable price. If TZ maintains the level of their Rambo III and improves some details of the prototype, that figure will be difficult to beat. That said, if you want the brief M65 look it is really this or the old (and expensive) Hot Toys.

Not bad. The sculpt looks like Sly, but I think Threezero is better. The knife on the 3zero looks much better.

$260 is not too terrible, but will the final product look like the prototype?

I believe it’s the eyes and hair throwing this off. The eyes are too large and close together. Hair style looks parted down the middle boy meets world style. He should have the 80s poofy Italian fro

However, if it turns out to be a piece of crap . . . then you can laugh your butt off compared to others who paid up front.

If Sly and Nick were also selling to retailers, then I would have pre-ordered immediately from one of the retailers.

I honestly don't think they are out to pull a fast one, especially after seeing that "unboxing" video, but as a first release from an unknown company, I'll wait for in-hand pics. To be honest, I'm sure they won't sell out. I think they'll see how many orders are received and make some extras as well.

"First Blood" Rambo is the only figure I'm interested in.

Unironically true. His antics would not have mattered if this was a simple PO with 10% deposit. But because we're expected to take a $260 leap of faith, we have to use what little information we have to decide whether to trust him and his judgment. Unfortunately, the information we have is the nonsense from Instagram.

Best thing they can do is either replace the upfront requirement with a small NRD or let other retailers like BBTS carry these so we have a safety net. If this turns out to be a masterpiece, I'll happily eat crow and admit they know what they're doing over there. And I hope that happens.

I think I'm going to pre order it. I'm not sold on the likeness, the outfit, agent Nick, the artists working on it, or even the way the figure looked in the video, but...I'd hate to miss out on a possible good figure of my favorite movie character.

I have to analyze this, because what if 3zero makes this version too, and it looks better, can I cancel my PO or is there a penalty?
