I know but this body had the nicest chest I looked at countless male bodies and this one screamed put me in a 70's porn jumpsuit.

Since I don't know how to mod bodies I don't know how to take his torso and put it on proper lower body since I lack tools I am after all mainly a sewing with minimal mods.

body part swaping is hard and I don't want to mess up his chest.

I used some foam I have and I think with medical tape and more that gap in crotch wont be as severe

I have to wait a week for all the pieces for him to come in. briefcase will be latter when I do my cobra shots.

ok guys I'm kinda having a problem, maybe I'm not searching right but which action figure had a briefcase like Destro. I don't really want to get the one from movie. I want to find one so I can buy it next month. Right now I have something else I have to pay for. the rifle case I looked at seems long and the small briefcases seem to small. im left with an argh and grrr factor

Yea D needs a bigger body with a sculpted chest. The TTM20 should work well. Maybe not make the suit too nut huggin' tight. HT seems to be putting a thin lycra suit under their skintight outfits and it helps. Maybe try that.

Nice work Groovy! Your RoadBlock is awesome! Scarlett looks great as well. I am sure Destro will come along nicely too!

I was going to use that body for batman, I got one dirt cheep a few months back, is their any cheaper alt's out there. I really liked the chest on the BBI hate the lower half though.. there is only a slight difference in width on chest between models TT and this BBI. I was going by how slim Destro looked in artwork and TT legs look to big. Im half tempted to wait until SS makes theirs and pick up a body on ebay but they always make the chest black on figures with black suits.

I like the chest on the hit figures I might go that rout and their wont be a disconnect in chest muscles. GRR why cant companies make a shop where you can pick up body parts you need and assemble your own

I might try the Lycra suit thing I have gobs of black spandex lying about

Thanks fuzz head I appreciate the comments, I only wish their were more black male and female headsculpts out their some of them look like a pack of barkers. That might not happen until their is a black sculpter who knows how black features should look.

Im not black but I can tell by looking at some of the ones I have their is lacking is attractiveness. this dude looks "kinda" cuite but not where he should look which is saying a lot for a black sculpt.

I just remembered why I cant use a no neck body with this head, it's made of a cheep hard plastic that if you attmpt to mod it shatters. thank god I never did anything with that. I did have something made of this type of plastic and it cracked like glass.

Lady jaye's clothes are almost finished. I made her blue and white ranger patch, her shirt is almost finished just need to make pockets and add snaps. and her cargo pants fastners and belt loops so I'll post pics this weekend.

I know he looks kinda like a bad 70's porn with his classic costume but I like it. And baroness loves it so that's all that matters

You're already at +1 haivng a decent head with no bolts or rivets sticking out of it. :clap

Re: roadblock and lady jaye questions

I kept the chain because in a couple of comics he is carring these belts

:exactly:

Lots of cool covers with him having them draped as well, like the one they catch CC.

Thanks man I know I seen him a lot in comics caring the bullets either off one shoulder or x straped. I had to change to one strap it makes it difficult posing with his backpack.

Destro looks better with the tights he is wearing under costume now but im not photographing him until his German pistol is here and holster is made red. I still need to sculpt mini missiles and grenade since the ones that are 1/6 scale are to big. and when is gloved hands are here im painting them silver. (silver is a weak color and takes a lot of applications to get it to stick.)

lady jaye is coming along nicely, when her outfit is done I'll photograph it and post then it's off to work on her backpack and javelin spear with 5 sets of spears for back pack. I'm giving her a rocket launcher thought she needed an upgrade plus perfect use for her spears.

I'm making some changes that some people will absolutely hate but it's tuff she is my lady jaye I'll make her how I want her. someday I'll make flint. I'm still looking for a handsome yet rugged head. I'm sooo ubber picky with heads. I know some people made comments on not liking Scarlett and Covergirl but I gave up trying to please the masses.

Since I'm moving the rest of my Joes will need to be on hold until im grounded. Right now I'm finishing up lady jaye, Destro and roadblock before I do.

I know Duke, Breaker, Doc, Jinx and flint are on my to do list as well as Baroness and storm shadow I might buy bludd and commander and save me time since they look decent. Im sad I missed out on firefly but I might save up and buy him or parts to make him. I only wish I knew someone who had him and can scan the print of his clothing their is a company who makes prints from files.

I do plan to do Zartan I know he is cobra but I always felt zartan and the drednocks as their own little gang in themselves.

Thanks it took me so long to get to this place. I have had her fabric for almost a year. I still cant believe I got her looking good so far.

I might add some epoxy or thermoplastic to her hair, apart of me thinks her head is fine the way it is. so im afraid do I and possibly mess her up or leave her be.

this head already has some slight wefts of hair jotting out in certain places as it is, iit just doesn't photograph it well.

Today through this weekend im going to finish her backpack and missles. as well as paint Roadblocks 50 cal machine gun and attaching the stand to the backpack

I was planning on that I found this maple brown that's very rich like milk chocolate and it dries nice.

I just fired her war head type missles for backpack there was some but not a lot shrinkage so looks alittle big but will work with launcher so they don't get stuck. and I finished her backpack and brown belt strap.

like with cover girl im low on pistols and money for the moment so when I move and im situated i'll order them after I pay pete for his work on some other projects.

Sadly I wont be able to make my Halloween stuff this year due to move but that will give me time to make diorama's for better staging for next Halloween. So no one will se reveal until then for the horror figs until 2014.

I'm almost finished with lady jaye just some minor stuff and im waiting for paint to dry for roadblocks machine gun. Once it does I might do a group shot of who is in my team so far.

Groovy, these are some cool looking customs. I like how outré styling true to the original 3.75 figures and the comics. I am eagerly awaiting how your Destro comes out. I have always wanted to do a Destro, but the suit was just impossible for me.

Destro will soon be done. His parts that have been on backordered and paid for months ago came in. there suppose to be here Saturday.

I know people don't like the body but I like the chest for him Someday i'll learn how to take apart bodies and mash them together but i'm far from that right now. But Destro will be finished sometime next week. Right now he will be my only cobra since I disassembled baroness to start over.
