Star Trek 10/10 CGI was amazing

I'm with you on both of those.

Trek was amazing. Best movie of the year (though, admittedly, District 9 and Inglorious are still sitting on my shelf waiting to be viewed).

MBV3D was retarded. I'm not into cheesy "horror" movies, but my wife is ... and even she thought it was retarded. If they had quadrupled the nudity in it, at least it would've made it worth the time.

Those two are more than capable of de-throning Trek, actually I would put both above it.

not sure if this'd work as a movie, but maybe i'm just saying that coz i wasn't a big fan of the book. i used to love gaiman. but recently i find all his stories are a bit lacklustre. i actually couldn't watch stardust all the way through.

You have a point there, i think its a bit too complex to be made into a movie but, Neverwhere could easily be made into one, just the trouble is i would probally have no interest in it, i had a tough enough time getting half way through that one.

I also have District 9 waiting to be viewed at the weekend. I don't know how I even managed to sit through MBV until the end, I guess I was curious to see who it was. Worst film ever. Your right even the nudity didn't make it worth while.

not sure, but think they made a mini series of that here in the UK a while ago. never read it, but remember the series looking quite boring. i'll check...

I like the fantasy setting, the inclusion of Johann Krauss, and the villain, Nuada, actually has good motives for doing the things he does IMO. It isn't just a "let's take over the world" plot.

Hellboy II gave GDT a much larger budget and more control to create the creatures and worlds that he is so good at; I loved that film.
