I don't think Shane Black has ever heard the term. He insisted on calling them "Predators" and look what happened.

so he raped the corpse a bit, and of course it stank a lot. i didn't see any new abominations in that movie that i didn't see in jajuja articles before, and they are several decades old.

I'm hoping a third party company takes a stab at some predators. Seen some decent stuff lately from Art Figures and some others with the Dark Furyan, Green Goblin, Star Ship Trooper, Dr Octopus just to name a few. Are the sculpts to HT level, no but most are about 80% there and I give huge props for the fact that these other companies are making something other than just the current hype.

I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened already. You'd think Ripley and the Colonial Marines would've been no-brainers for them.
