See now for me I feel even sorrier for Vader because I know that he did what he did because he loved Padme.
Nothin' says lovin' like chopping up some baby jedi. :emperor

I wonder if his nuts got burned off as well? He was laying face down on Mustafar, ya know. If so, did they get replaced? I'm sure even Vader needs to rub one off every now and then.

Speaking of which, the Jedi aren't allowed to hook up. So you know they got the best stash of porn in the universe. :monkey1

Oh course his nuts were burned off. That it\s what prolly really drove him to the dark side and go around choking people.

:lol

In the edited film:

Vader- "Where's Padme? Is she alright?"

Sidious- "Oh yeah, she's cool. But ya can't tap it no more, 'cause yer nuts got burnt off."

Vader- "WHAT THE FU*K?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

Sidious- "Heh heh." :emperor

Same here. Vader is made less of a villain, and Obi-Wan is made more of a hero.

Neither. Both have their place in the grand order of things.

As for the whole OT-PT conflict, I love both but favor the PT more. The characters, worlds, and conflicts are more interesting to me personally. The Clone War is much more fascinating to me than the Galactic Civil War. However, it seems key for one to recognize that Star Wars is more than the sum of its parts, OT, PT, and EU included. Divided up, they can still be great stories, but unified under one galaxy or universe, they become a remarkably intricate mythos.

Oh, and just for good measure, gratuitous Wookiee dancing:

That's exactly how I feel as well. Everything all together makes for something even greater than the pieces by themselves. I feel the same way about The Hobbit/LOTR and all the little pieces in and outside of those.

Here is another dancing Chewie :chew

Personally, I thought the prequels made Vader look like more of a jerk than a cool evil sith lord like the original trilogy did. Killing younglings and constantly whining that he's being held back like a spoiled brat made it all the more enjoyable seeing him get his ass kicked by Obi-Wan. He was no better than any other wife beating scum! :p

Aren't we supposed to be bashing Jar Jar in this thread?
Why couldn't this have happened in ROTS-

Jar-Jar:emperor

Good point. I didn't vote in the poll because there wasn't an "All of the Above" option. :D

Vader had a reputation as the one who hunted down and killed all of the Jedi, but it turns out that the clones did that. Pretty much the only Jedi we "see" him kill are the little kids. He didn't intend to kill Mace, he just wanted to cripple him in order to spare Palpatine, who took over from there. He just wasn't the killing machine I imagined all those years. (Oh, he kills his wife. But she wasn't a Jedi, so that doesn't count.) I did expect to see him kill more Jedi Knights in ROTS, and maybe a few Jedi Masters. I will have to watch Ep. IV again, but I don't remember Ben telling Luke that Vader hunted down and killed all of the Jedi Padawans.

A young Jedi named Darth Vader, who was a pupil of mine before he turned to evil, HELPED the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights.

I just watched all six yesterday and Ben doesn't mention anything about killing younglings.

I voted Jar-Jar. From the moment he first appeared and spoke his first "Meesa" line, I felt sick. From then on, I just cringed each time he appeared on screen. The Ewoks were bad but Jar-Jar was an abomination to the Star Wars universe.

As for the whole OT/PT issue, I believe Lucas redeemed "himself" with Episode III. Truth be told, IN MY OPINION, with the exception of Qui-Gon, Obi-Won and Palpatine, the lines and acting were attrocious throughout the PT.

When I think of "Star Wars", I think of the OT.

I just see Star Wars as an entire entity spanning throughout the OT and PT, icluding the comics and novels. It's all Star Wars to me...

Having said that, I will always have a soft spot for Empire and Jedi, just because they were the first ones I saw as a kid. I'm not really all for either trilogy. They all had their rough spots...

The story is told the way it's told, and yeah Vader was not slaying as many Jedi as I wanted him to in the prequels... but they cover a lot of that in the novels, at least recently..... "Dark Lord" and Dark Horse comics "Purge" come to mind on that subject...

Either way... Jar-Jar sucked way worse than the Ewoks... At least the Ewoks were sadistic enough to want to char-grill Han and company. They would have eaten Jar Jar for lunch!! :maul

Vader helped hunt down the jedi knights, I'd imagine much of his time after the end of ROTS would be seeking out his old "friend" Obi-wan and any other Jedi stragglers out there.
