Love that custom. Very subtle airbrushing, just enough where you might still think he's good. So cool.

Even if the dio was a clean version it would still look great. I'd love to see more angles of that display.

The small green base is terrific too.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I bet Hot Toys makes an Evil Superman after seeing the positive response to the customs.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I'd expect a Clark Kent with a S shirt under his suit before a Bad Superman.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Anyone want to take over my Ex. Supes preorder? I'd hate to just cancel it.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Also, I love the way this pose shows the possibility of ankle articulation. I think most people are just not taking advantage of it.

Mag,

do you think the cool looking ankle pose in that photo is from the stock ankle joint or do you think it's also been customized.

I'm hoping that's stock, because it's looks cool how they have it.

I also love how they bunched up his red shorts there, I want that look.

But it sure does make it look like he has a boner :lol

Tbh i bet you could pop the boot in boiling water for a sec and repose it if its super stiff.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I wish HT would have cast that C Clamp in clear plastic.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Having a hard time deciding between Superman or Jack Sparrow. I can't afford both, and I'll regret not getting either one... what is a boy to do?

Get Sparrow.

Setting character's popularity aside. It will be difficult for HT to top that figure any better whereas Superman, on the other hand, will probably be revisited in the future with several, and probably better, improvements.

Anyway, these are just opinions, Buy the one you like best.

While this advise makes 100% perfect sense, get Superman :lol

Don't bother, very simple process :clap

The Boot is a ball joint like so

A simple tug and it's free!

After that just snap it back in place, once again safe and secure like any other ball joint foot. no water or heat necessary

Done and Done, hope this helps :wink1:

I've started expanding my Fortress of Solitude.
This is just the beginning!

That's the best look at the boots I've seen so far. Thanks Guyver!

Rorywan - Save a few bucks. You might have missed earlier when I mentioned Selenite spars. You can buy them at any new age hippie store.

I think it's the stock ankle.

Several have mentioned in posts, or videos that the boots, although not soft rubber, have give to them, and that there is a noticeable joint in the ankle. I assume the ankles have the standard TT barbell ankle.

Awesome pics Rory, I can't decide if I want to use the base yet or not. I feel like a flying pose is a must, but my shelves are already packed. Do you have a medicom (clear plastic) stand by chance? I'm wondering if one of those can be used to achieve a good "hover" pose.
