How many variations of the COBRA TROOPER is possible (within realistic reason)?

We have the COBRA TROOPER.

We have the COBRA OFFICER.

The COBRA SNIPER will be released in January 2010.

I commented previously that it's possible Sideshow may produce another variation in a gray color possibly as a COBRA STINGER driver or as another member commented as a COBRA vehicle driver. I joked that we may see a red color version of the COBRA TROOPER that Sideshow may simply call a CRIMSON GUARD.

Seriously speaking though . . . how many variations of the COBRA TROOPER can we possibly see within reason where the outfit and the helmet for the most part is the same, but with different accessories and weapons?

Stinger Driver would be a logical choice.
Then there's Python Patrol Versions of both (with their titles swapped of course).
Also the '82 Officer with silver Cobra sigil.
And lastly the Viper Glider pilot who's just a Trooper but with a silver emblem,not sure how they'd differenciate between the two aside from the chevron on the helmet.

Ones they could make up:
A woodland camo version would look good.
A MP version with a dog or something.

I don't think we will see it made into a CG, Sideshow will do a all new figure for that.

I'd like to see an LMG/SAW variant too, to flesh out a patrol. I'd pass on a COM variant in hopes that they'd actually make a Televiper.

I could also see them doing an SAS "Hunter" character as some sort of exclusive (be cool if they had an unmasked alternative head to use). I know the black Cobra Sniper hints at the old Action Force figure, but you never know.

I could also see them doing a crimson variant, though not as a substitution for an actual Siegie.

Cobra Sniper is pretty much SAS Hunter.

I made a few customs back in the day that were along the same lines.

Yeah I doubt we'll see any Action Force figures from SSC. While it would be neat, and I'd really love Red Laser and Quarrel, I just don't see it happening anymore than Tiger Force or Python Patrol.

Probably not, no.

Hopefully we don't see it being reused for a while, we need a break from the the Trooper/Officer.

It's funny I'd actually seen Evil Face's stuff a while ago and never ever put two and two together until sometime this past summer. Don''t recall what thread it was. On a sidenote I know a guy on JDs that has his Rambo custom, well one of 'em at least. Pretty cool stuff!

Before I forget again, for a few months now there's a company in Asia I believe that is reproducing old Cobra Trooper molds in various color/camo scemes. There's the abvious Cobra blue but they also have made:

-Woodland
-Crimson
-Urban (grey/white/black)
-Artic (solid white)
-Desert

camos as well. While they're of course Knock-Offs they are, to me at least, more GI Joe than Ninja Force, Star Brigade, Sigma and RoC combined.

Ha, that is kewl. I found a box with a bunch of my old customs. Thought I would throw em on the bay and see if I can get anything out of them

Silver logo officer is what I'm waiting for. I don't know if I would get any other direct trooper variants after that. Maybe a Stinger driver, but that's it. I can't wait for the sniper, but there are already established specialists for everything else. Viper, Eel, Tele-Viper, Snow Serpent, etc.

Actually, I would love to see stuff based on the 25th Anniversary Air Trooper and Para-Vipers, but those are more Viper/Eel variations than they are of the troopers.
