Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Yeah, heads that fit on the figure they come with. Wouldn't really be able to put a tiny Banner head on a full Hulk body without it looking stupid

T1000 donut head did not fit the TTSarah Connor body. :slap

I just came :O

You need to find yourself a girl, mate!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

People keep saying, if they through in a Banner head blah blah, do people really think HT would make a separate head for custom figures when they can make produce them and make loads of money off them? Sorry but this just seems really far fetched.

They've already commented on the reluctance to do plain jane "man in a suit" figures. I think if we see a Banner, he'll likely be on the next TTM19 nude.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

pricing shouldn't be the same as monger as imo, hulk doesn't have that much intricate details. HT just needs to get him right. but then again, HT will play the pricing because they know this is the most anticipated figure.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

OK, so clearly no human could ever wear those pants when he shrinks back down. I believe a man could fly but I don't believe a man could wear those pants.

I can buy shrinking pants more than I can a small pair of glasses as a 'secret identity' :lol

$298.99

$315.99

$329.99

$345.99

These are more realistic guesses.

Look at Jake Sully. The new body the intricate detail of his feathered/hairdress, the light up base, the extra weapons etc.

$314.99

And thats justified for an 18" Figure

The Hulk will not be an 18" figure. More bulk yeah, but WAY less stuff.

I really do not see how people think that he will be a penny over $350.00...they are not thinking rationally...

Try again. Hulk's 9' tall. That's 18" in 1:6 scale :duh

So using Jake as a base, Hulk will be no LESS than $315. That's the benchmark. $350 seems more likely sadly, if not more.

What I would really like to see them do is offer this in two ways like the Iron Man Gantry.

1) Hulk. Just Hulk. No extra fluff items.

2) Hulk with Banner plus extra exclusive item (ie robot with the Iron Man Gantry with Mark IV combo set).

That way everyone wins. Those that want just the Hulk can get just the Hulk and not pay extra for something they don't want. Those that want Banner can get Banner. And for those getting the deluxe set with Banner can be rewarded with another little goodie, like say and Extra Hulk head with a different expression.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

For everyone thinking the figure in the image is complete, Joseph sculpts these models without joints first and then the joints are added later on.Considering it was photoshoped to look green, this is very early stage. It looks as though maybe the arms and hands were sculpted separately and then assembled for the pic. Also it doesn't appear to have ankle joints.

After seeing the Cap, Hawkeye, and Thor Avengers head sculpts, my expectations for this one has lowered. I just hope it doesn't look like Cheech Marin or something.

I can just see Devil_666 shopping a pic of Hulk with a Cheech head - big moustache & all, leaning down at the camera, screaming the words: "DAVE BANNER'S NOT HERE!!!!" :lol

:lol I can already imagine it. To be honest, I only post on this forum when I want to spur Devil into photoshopping something.

Anyway, I'm really worried for this figure (and the rest of the Avengers line).

This has always bothered me about the Hulk. I can accept that a man gets angry and subsequently turns into a monstrous green muscle-bound giant with no capacity for intelligible speech - but the jeans remaining intact around the waist but somehow shredded at the knee is just absurd.

:lol i don't understand how you can accept a completely impossible fantasy transformation yet be concerned over the somwhat minor issue of his pants...

Maybe HT will have an exclusive extra, a Hulk 'piece' that magnetically attaches to his crotch if you want to take his pants off

Banner: 'You're making me Horny... You wouldn't like me when i'm Horny'

Do they mention Hulks height in the movie? He doesnt look like hes the same size as the Na'vi from AVATAR, but I may be mistaken. An 18" Hulk would be most welcome, I just didnt think he would be the same size as Jake. But even at $350, I still feel that is a justifiable price point. If you take away all the bells and whistles that come with Jake and substitute that with the largness of the Hulk figure itself I think both equal each other out.

Maybe it turns out Banner was simultaneously working on a new high tech brand of bicycle shorts that appear to be jeans?

He does use a bike in Ang Lee's film. I think they had to replace a hulked out Lance Armstrong with the gamma dogs in that one scene.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I really thought my max would be around $400 for him. But after the movie last night, I will pay $10,000.

Just sayin.
