The eyes on the DX12 are so freaking big.. they are like 1.5x biggers than the real eyes..

This is completely untrue.

The iris size is identical. And there is more white showing in the actual image of Bale than the figure in that gif. So what exactly is 1.5x bigger? :huh

Wuh? That comparison shows that the eyes are perfect size. Just placed wrong.

I agree. Maybe not with the "1.5x bigger" statement but they still look toyish and large. He's got some big eyeballs.

In most scenes Batman almost appears to have beady, focused eyes. Well, save towards the end of the interrogation scene when Batman loses it. These are much too wide for my taste. Not as bad as the DX 02 but still not to my liking.

Also it wouldn't hurt of the eyes were raised closer to the top of the brow. There should be more space of flesh below the eye towards the end of the eye opening in the cowl. That's the way the cowl fits Bale's head.

My two cents. Really nitpicky though.

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - Batman/Bruce Wayne Full specs and

When is this bad boy coming out?? December I'm assuming. If so, I gotta save a lot of dough till the release date cuz I'm planning to get 3 HT on my most wanted list. Batman for sure, then Loki, and finally Joker 2.0. So all 3 that I want are coming out the same month, correct??? The reason I don't pre-order any HT online is because my LCS gets them quicker than most online stores. They get the first shipment from Sideshow and if u ask the worker to put ur name on that item, they'll put it on hold for u up to 30 days. No deposit or anything whatsoever which is totally AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yess::nana:

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - Batman/Bruce Wayne Full specs and

Completely against PERS. Give me accurately sculpted and painted eyes with the look of Bale squinting like he tends to do.

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - Batman/Bruce Wayne Full specs and

Btw I just noticed that Batman has never used the batarangs in TDK and I think only once in BB to break the glass in the train :panic:

Why do they include them then with every batman figure? Is it a signature thing?

^^Probably more of the collectors knowing Batman's main weapon is the Batarang, but yeah, movie doesn't show enough usage.

I also see the Nolan Batman not being as athletic as he is in the comics & animated movies/TV series.. Nolan Batman also tends to rely too much on Mr. Fox for 'upgrades' on his stuff.. Isn't he the smartest superhero in the DC Universe?

I guess that's why it's called "Nolanverse".. His version of Batman is dark, yet a little less talented.

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - Batman/Bruce Wayne Full specs and

^^^ Who cares how many times they are used??? There cool extras regardless... I say if HT wants to give us 2 or 3 with each Batman then so be it...

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - Batman/Bruce Wayne Full specs and

The Batarang is as iconic as the cape and cowl... gotta be in there. Hell, even the Demaon Bat came with batarangs.

^ oh I'm not complaining that they are throwing extra stuff in, I'm just a little surprised because hot toys is usually very picky when it comes to accessories, they tend to never include 'extra' stuff.

I like this version of Batman, he is within the limits of reality. In comics he knows everything, specialises in all kinds of departments knows many languages and martial arts. In Nolan's universe we have a man who just has recourses, moderate physical strength and a desire to bring justice.

The idea of having Mr. Fox is great (to me) because he is a man who spent his life creating gadgets and inventions (unlike Wayne), it only makes sense that he is the one who comes up with all the cool things :)

No worries at all, bro. I guess Hot Toys does not always choose the best add-om accessory. An example was my Hot Toys MMS35 Rambo 3. He came with the usual bow & arrow, and knife.. but for a choice of a rifle, HT included a Dragunov sniper rifle which was used in a deleted scene but not the actual movie. :slap[/QUOTE]

Yeah I like the Nolanverse Batman as well because he is the best Batman in the live-action movie genre.. But I really would've preferred more derivation from the comics/TV series about his abilities.

Mr. Fox is alright. Just don't want Wayne to rely in him too much, or at least he should be doing some inventions/gadgets separate
from what Mr. Fox will issue him. Lol! Just got used to the Bat-cartoons where Bats did everything except
flying

Re: HOT TOYS : MMS DX 12 - The Dark Knight Rises - Batman/Bruce Wayne Full specs and

Just a quick survey....

Does anyone actually want the PERS on this figure?

I might be mistaken but I haven't see anyone on this thread excited about them. Its either people hate them or they just dont care. But I havent seen anyone actually say they WANT them on this.

I'd rather have accurate looking eyes than PERs

In an ideal world I'd like accurate looking PERs

I'm of the opinion that they are almost there. There's a huuuge difference between these and the PERS on the DX02.
Sometimes it works, but it isn't an incremental evolution. You get a step forward like Jack Sparrow, then you get a step back like Luke Skywalker. Too inconsistent, whereas the likeness seems much easier to achieve without having to deal with the googly eyes gimmick in the process of working out a sculpt. On top of that, you've got seams that are more or less noticeable and can affect the aesthetic of the figure. And on top of that you've got technical issues, currently more getting eyes aligned correctly than worrying about breakage. As such, I would prefer no PERS over a PERS process that works maybe half the time. Like Void, of course, if it looked just as good and worked perfectly, I would prefer it over static eyes. But we ain't there IMO.
